VAR going the spud's business for them plus that absolutely rotten cunt Mike Dean

Lol, as if Azpi at LB did anything of note other than his corner goal. Hopefully you do not think playing Azpi at LB is in any way, shape, or form acceptable. He is horrific there on balance.

Kante is playing poorly this year, regardless of where he has been played (which, by playing him out of positional role, is not helping matters) If one ONLY looks at this season, it is only the most sycophantic of fanboys and fangirls who would claim he is remotely near WC level. He is simply far too often a liability on the pitch at a multiplicity of levels. He was very poor today yet again. I have to laugh at the statmasters who trot out their precious metrics game and game to justify high praise in the multiple games where even a cursory watch of the actual action shows that to be utter bollocks. Square peg, round hole.

RLC has had a massive injury. Worse rupture than CHO's. I highly doubt he will be fully up to speed until next season.
-
Bloody first league point EVER for Brighton against us. Shameful.
-
Kepa deffo MOTM. SAD.
-
Azpi at LB was, is, and will be capitulation. It just kills us on the left side. He offers nothing from that position. His goal had zero to do with LB play. It was simply right place right time off a corner.
-
TBH, even when he is in a proper defensive bit of play he has been poor, he rarely nicks the ball as he used to, and he is a turnover machine more often than not when he does get the ball. So sloppy. Its been going on for weeks with a few exceptions. It affects our entire flow.
-
Kovacic is a lucky boy to not see a 2nd yellow.
-
Not at all, he is soon 30 and is utterly misused here. His play has been spotty at best lately. His play is certianly not that of one of the best MFers in the world atm, not even close. This is the last summer we can maybe can get over £100m for him. So no, absolutely not a joke at all.
-
Shameful if we draw this. Ffs We have been horrid for so much of the game.
-
Finally Mount off.
-
The definition of useless: Kante with Azpi on the left running a counter. Multiple times now. Horrific LB play by Azpi and pointless meanderings by Kante. Wasted opportunity after wasted opportunity. Kante serves no great purpose other than keeping our best MFer atm, in Kovacic, on the bench. Each day I move more firmly into the sell camp. He is a middling CMF in our style and formations. Square peg, round hole. He has overall poor for weeks with a few exceptions. Our fall in form coincided with Kante's return, more or less. Flame away, until I see evidence that all this has changed, I am not changing my mind.
-
the board will never sell any of those for that low now and we will never get a combined £20m for they only have 6 months left on their contracts and are both well into their 30's now
-
Woot Finally some luck on a corner
-
cannot believe Azpi at LB AGAIN! ffs this is madness

Not to be tendentious but tonight is NOT the end of the decade exact one year from now is there was no year zero so the last year is 2020 not 2019 just like the millennium ended on December 31, 2000, NOT December 31, 1999 do the maths 1 AD, 2, AD, 3 AD, etc up to 10AD (ie the TENTH year of the first decade of the first Millennium AD) so when 10 AD ended on December 31st 10 AD, it was 10 years old same for December 31, 2000 (ending of 2000 years) December 31, 2010 (which ended the noughties) and December 31, 2020, which will end this decade biggest con in the world (after religion in general) was Dec 31, 1999 ending the millennium #maths

CHELSEA FC FINANCIAL RESULTS https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2019/12/31/chelsea-fc-financial-results Chelsea FC plc today announced our annual financial results for the year ended 30 June 2019, reflecting an increase in revenue for the fourth year in succession. The group turnover figure grew to £446.7m from £443.4m the previous year. After two profitable years in 2017 and 2018, the Group recorded a loss of £96.6m for the year ended 30 June 2019, reflecting a number of player acquisitions and its related costs, as well as a lack of Champions League football together with costs associated with the change of first team management. Despite recording a loss for the 2019 financial year, the Club continues to comply with UEFA’s break-even criteria under the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Revenue from commercial activities grew by £14.5m, following the signing of several partnership deals including Hyundai, Vitality Health, MSC Cruises, Unilever, Beats by Dre and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, and increased revenues from online merchandise sales. Broadcasting and matchday revenues decreased by £3.9m and £7.3m respectively, primarily as a result of the Club’s participation in the Europa League as opposed to the Champions League in the previous season. The Club also invested a record £280.6m in the playing squad during the year, including the acquisitions of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho. Chairman Bruce Buck said: ‘Consistent revenue growth and careful financial management over recent seasons has allowed the Club to make significant levels of investment in the playing staff whilst maintaining compliance with UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations. This has contributed to another Europa League victory at the end of the 2018/19 season and a return to the highest level of European competition. ‘This solid commercial foundation, allied to a young and exciting team now led by Frank Lampard, means that the Club is well placed to sustain its pursuit of success both on and off the pitch as well as maintain its financial stability over the coming years.’ snip
