Tottenham in firm Bale approach as Levy puts lid on transfer fee https://www.teamtalk.com/news/tottenham-make-concrete-bale-approach-as-levy-puts-lid-on-transfer-fee Tottenham have contacted Real Madrid to inform them they are willing to to pay €30million (£25.34m) for Gareth Bale this month – but are reported to have told the LaLiga giants they won’t go any higher to re-sign the Wales forward. Bale has been linked with a move back to Tottenham in recent month, with the winger struggling to win over the Madrid fans. The 30-year-old has helped Los Blancos win La Liga and the Copa del Rey once each, and the Champions League four times since 2013. However, the Santiago Bernabeu have never truly taken to Bale, who has also failed to convince head coach Zinedine Zidane that he deserves to start regularly for the team. So far this season, the Wales international has made nine starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid, and has played just 101 minutes in the Champions League. And according to El Chiringuito TV, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy met with Madrid president Florentino Perez this week to propose the transfer of Bale back to Tottenham. snip

The Shocking Stats That Reveal Kepa Arrizabalaga's Remarkable Fall From Grace This Season https://www.90min.com/posts/6542061-the-shocking-stats-that-reveal-kepa-arrizabalaga-s-remarkable-fall-from-grace-this-season?utm_source=RSS

please elaborate
-
the permanent signing in the summer clause voids a recall a club would be insane to let a club pull back a player that they were already buying perm
-
very good chance we miss out on all 3 by summer's end especially Werner maybe Sancho and (if Atleti bends a little), then for sure Cavani as well
-
one point there and I went BONKERS during the game over it Tammy was still injured/knocked when that goal happened and THAT played a role in his defensive play and we had a shit tonne of chances to kick the ball out of play whilst he was down thus stopping the flow (and the goal)

and that m8, is a TRUE fiduciary nightmare went into depth on it in the Kepa thread bottom line IF we somehow (it will never happen for so many reasons) prised Oblak away from AM that will mean (in a BEST CASE scenario) that 7 years of first string GK (Kepa 2, Oblak 5) will overall cost us on an amortised basis £250m minimum overall costs and likely more all is documented over in the thread
-
IF (I am not convinced we will not make a couple moves still) actually do almost NOTHING this window after fighting like HELL to get it and CLEARLY doable good deals out there and we end up losing out on top 4 (given the pure shit of our competitors) I never want to hear the board defended ever again they likely will have (if we miss out on CL again and if we fail to finally clear rapidly value-haemorrhaging dregs yet again) basically set us upon a ruinous path for years, barring some SERIOUS luck

if he had a fling with Marina and banged out a pickney then 30 or 40 years from now if you wanted to bankrupt a multinational firm just appoint their spawn as the CEO the genetics dictate the firm would be in administration within 2 years
-
makes too much sense the board will never do it
-
Chelsea’s proposed deal is to pay an loan fee and cover the forward’s wages, in excess of £360,000 a week, until his contract expires at the end of June. Cavani’s wages alone would total £7.2 million and Chelsea would be expected to pay a fee of at least £5 million LOLOLOL that would mean we will have paid almost 30 MILLION QUID for two 6 months long loans for 30-something strikers and have zero to show for it when it ends (Higs is the other) goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo board!!!!
-
In terms of older strikers for a stopgap (most may not even be doable this late in the game, there are only 9 days left in the window) some (most) are simply meh Edin Dzeko Roma Artem Dzyuba Zenit Dries Mertens Napoli Bas Dost Eintracht Frankfurt Marko Arnautovic (China) Kévin Gameiro Valencia Anthony Modeste Köln Luuk de Jong Sevilla for longer term buys here is a fairly comprehensive breakdown

Lampard blames one Chelsea player for Arsenal equaliser https://www.football365.com/news/lampard-blames-one-chelsea-player-for-arsenal-equaliser Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says Emerson Palmieri for being at fault for Arsenal’s first goal in their 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea failed to capitalise on old boy David Luiz’s red card, thwarted by Hector Bellerin’s late equaliser. Cesar Azpilicueta thought he had scrambled Chelsea to victory with a neat finish only to see Hector Bellerin steal a share of the spoils, after Gabriel Martinelli’s breakaway goal had cancelled out Jorginho’s penalty. Arsenal’s opening goal from Martinelli came when counter-attacking from a Chelsea corner after N’Golo Kante had slipped. Instead of blaming Kante, Lampard was annoyed by the marking on the edge of the box from Palmieri. “It was on the edge of the box that was the problem,” Lampard said. “People have got to do their jobs. “We have people on the edge of the box that ran forward when they should have run backwards. It left N’Golo, it went to N’Golo and he slips. “That wasn’t the error. That’s something that can happen. The edge of the box was the error, as I say, a job that should have been done but not done.” snip yet we still will not sell the

Chelsea fans slate Kepa Arrizabalaga for performance against Arsenal https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/club-news/chelsea-fans-slate-kepa-arrizabalaga-for-performance-against-arsenal/ Some Chelsea fans once again slated goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after the club’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal. The Gunners had just two shots on target and scored with them both, causing the Blues to drop yet more points at home. Lampard’s side had an extra man for 66 minutes after David Luiz was sent off in the first half. This seemed to only heap the pressure on Chelsea and they looked half the team once they had the numerical advantage. snip

yes, absolutely just missing out on CL will cost us more than selling him at a massive loss and eating some of his 5 years worth of crazy wages
-
Its the entire system he is not compatible with it time to sell in the summer or sack Lampard and bring in someone who will use a system tailored to him which is just a silly thing to do it will be one or the other it is not going to change whether you, me, or anyone may wish and hope differently

Afro was literally the only Chels player (other than Kepa of course) to not produce a single goal-scoring chance. The horrific Emerson, just to show you how fucking poor Afro was, produced FIVE. This POS needs to GO.

I rate Tomori based on potential and so so rate Reece now (defenders) Azpi is oki at RB (but thus benches Reece) but he is beyond wretched as a LB, a black hole of death offensively agree on the rest, plus Alonso is dogshit as well, but still actually (what a nightmare) better than Emerson atm
