I feel this is a mischaracterisation of my stances. I said at the time it was a bad sale (of Veiga). I am a 'lead-from-the front person, I look at things at project in a future-forward manner, both shorter AND longer term. I also never said that Veiga was the type of player we should buy as a nailed-on starter. I simply think he is better than most of our CURRENT options. And as a CB, not a 'fill-in-a-hole' Swiss Army knife type. I have posted voluminously as to the great players we should buy (and should have bought), actual mainstay, nailed-on WC starter types.

you are forgetting the inbound (this coming summer, we already bought him and then loaned him back) Mamadou Sarr (from Strasbourg and who is a replacement for Disasi and hopefully the SHIT OF SHITTERS Tosin) BUT Sarr is another right-footed RCB same for the returning-from-loan Aarón Anselmino (unless cheap AF Dortmund meet our price, which is unlikely) we have only 2 lefty CBs (plus the hybrid lefty teen Hato, who is 75 per cent a LB, not so much a LCB) one is injured and out for the season (probably) Colwill (and NO guarantees on how bad the injury has perma fucked him (hopefully not at all) and then the TURGID Badiashile

Cardiff City is now in League One if we lose to Everton AND them Maresca HAS to be sacked the next day IF we do lose both of those games we could easily lose the other 3 I saw someone claim the EPL is full of mediocre teams this season NO not at all it just has so many quality teams, so many great players and managers it is a BRUTAL league put a lot of the EPL (say the top 12 to 14 or so teams) in most other leagues and they all (or most) have real shots at qualifying for the CL or at least the Europa League

Everton are playing really well Moyes has them winning far more games thatn many thought they would I had them pegged preseason as one of the surprise sides and they are doing that with Jarrad Branthwaite out for months
