In L'Equipe, they report on how Cavani confronted Neymar in the PSG dressing room post-match, calling out the Brazilian for his attitude. And the former Barcelona man did not take too kindly to the remark, allegedly reacting angrily and causing Thiago Silva to intervene before the rift became physical. With ex-Napoli man Cavani not willing to lose his position as the club's foremost goal-getter to the world record signing, he nonetheless attempted to calm matters by stating he 'had no problem' with Neymar after the 2-0 win.

Atletico Madrid's final offer for Diego Costa: €55m + €10m Even though the summer transfer window has now closed, Atletico Madrid continue to pursue Diego Costa with the club's final offer for the Spanish forward totaling 65 million euros, 55 million up front with a further 10 million euros in bonus payments. Ahead of the opening of Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday, there was hope from those familiar with negotiations at Los Rojiblancos that the Chelsea forward would be present and that an announcement on a deal could be made. Unfortunately no such agreement has been reached with the London club still playing hard-ball as a direct response to the former Rayo Vallecano striker's behaviour. Make no mistake, Atleti are desperate to re-sign Costa and are making an offer that would far and away represent the club's biggest ever market operation. Los Colchoneros feel their final offer of 55 million + 10 million euros is more than fair, especially considering the fact that Antonio Conte has made it publicly now that he doesn't see last season's top scorer as a player he can count on. As a result, Costa is a valueless asset to the Stamford Bridge club in sporting terms, yet from an economic perspective the club has to consider what the going rate would be in the current market for a 20 goal a season striker. Atletico continue to await a response to their offer, although it is believed to be an issue regarding loyalty payments which are holding up the deal. Chelsea do not want to pay the Spaniard what he would be owed if a transfer should occur, which roughly works out to 5% of any initial transfer fee. 5% of 55 million works out at roughly 2.75 million euros and the Spanish club are simply unwilling to take this on given the fact they are paying such a heavy transfer fee initially. Once this issue is sorted out, it seems set that Costa will be an Atletico Madrid player once more with a January arrival set in stone. http://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2017/09/18/59bef2df268e3e95678b4666.html

Cavani stormed off over a disagreement on set-pieces. Neymar since unfollowed him on IG. Edinson Cavani storms off after disagreements with Neymar last night PSG striker Edinson Cavani stormed off from the Parc des Princes last night after a series of on-pitch disagreements with team-mate Neymar over set-piece taking. The Uruguayan forward left the Paris stadium 20 minutes after the full-time whistle through the back door, without passing through the mixed zone to speak to the media. Embarrassing images emerged of Dani Alves taking the ball away from Edinson Cavani who was trying to take a free-kick so that the right-back could give the ball to Neymar instead. A similar, very public disagreement occurred between Neymar and Cavani over who should take the penalty, with the Uruguayan eventually succeeding in getting the former Barcelona man to back off, only to miss the eventual penalty after a great save from Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes. PSG manager Unai Emery’s post-match response to the incidents was seemingly inadequate: “I have told them to sort it out between themselves.” Les Parisiens ran out 2-0 winners in with an unconvincing performance against Lyon last night. However, the supposed chemistry between “MCN” is already clearly crumbling. http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2017/edinson-cavani-storms-off-after-disagreements-with-neymar-last-night/

Andreas Christensen ‘trusted’ by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to step in for suspended David Luiz But when asked if he was confident the club can cope without Luiz for the rest of the month, Conte said: "Yes. Christensen is a very young player but I think he is a good player and I trust him. Now he has the possibility to play and now he has to prepare very well to play." https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/andreas-christensen-trusted-by-chelsea-boss-antonio-conte-to-step-in-for-suspended-david-luiz-a3636946.html

Conte: "It was a good performance. We tried to win, both teams did." When asked about Luiz: "I don't like to comment on the ref's decision."

GOAL! Manchester United 1-0 Everton (Valencia 3')

Even at that one match, Arsenal dominated the early parts of the game. We needed to score first with a controversial Alonso Goal and then a worldie from Hazard followed by childish mistake from Cech. So, Conte is clearly at fault for our woes against Arsenal.
