Like I had said before. It was not the content, but the timing of the post which was so off. I still think that its way too early to even be discussing summer transfer targets. But we atleast have a something to base it on. GK - IF we dont decide to give willy an extension, then sure. Otherwise NO. CB - What we have are showing to be very good. AC has been good whenever given a shot. Zouma is going from strength to strength I feel. Tomori has a mistake in him, but at the same time, been our best CB. And we dont even have our best CB option fit yet - RUDI. All in all, anyone getting the boot would be very unfair. the season is still long, but as of this moment, I would go for consistency and keep the same 4. RB - James and Azpi are good options, would not change it. LB - I would definitely sell alonso and buy a quality LB DM/CM - This is weird. With kante being injured so much, you have to think if this is just bad luck or if his style of play is catching up. A 120mil bid from PSG/RM/JUve might not be a bad thing to consider. I know Kante is our ONLY world class player, BUT he will be 29 till summer, and we dont know what are the reasons for all these injuries. Anyways, Barkley, Bakayoko should defo be the first names on the OUT list and they will fetch a decent 60 mil. Enough to buy a quality DM partner/back up for Jorginho. Kova himself has been very good this season. We have the likes of Gilmour, Gallagher coming through, but an year of PL loan spells might be good for them. CAM - Mount and RLC should be set. hopefully RLC comes back without losing much from this horrible injury. RW - I would sell both Willian and Pedro and buy ziyech along with promoting anjorin as the 4th choice winger. LW - CHO and pulisic. ST - Tammy has been brilliant. Not at all impressed by bats. Giroud will definitely leave. So will need a back up and ugbo as 3rd. So my window will be: Outs - Barkley (35mil) , Bakayoko (25mil) , Pedro (Free) , Alonso (20mil) , Drinkwater (Free) , Morata (50mil) , Moses (Free) , Pasalic (10mil) , MvG (Free), Baker (free), Zappacosta (10mil), baba rahman (5mil), Piazon (free), Castillo (5mil), Musonda (5mil), Kenedy (5mil), Miazga (5mil), batshuayi (30mil), willian (free) etc ~ 200mil Ins - LB (chillwell 60mil), RW (ziyech 50mil), 2nd striker (40mil) Squad: GK: Kepa, Willy, 3rd GK CB: Rudi, Zouma, Ac, Tomori LB: Emerson, chilwell DM/CM: Jorginho, Kante, Kova, gilmour CAM: Mount, RLC LW: CHO, pulisic RW: ziyech, anjorin ST: Tammy, Werner/2nd striker, ugbo Loans: Conor (PL level), Ampadu (lets call him back and give him a good loan spell by Jan), JCS, Maatsen, Dujon, Chalobah, Gallagher - considering the 8 loanee rule applies from the next season. So not much of a change. Keep the core intact and build on it.

Maybe. Honestly have not seen Gilmour much except for sheffield and grimsby. Just a sense I got. Hopefully I am wrong.

Go read the match thread. And my post after the game. Also, I am not someone who has been at KOVA's throat every time he takes the field. The only time I was at his throat was when he was not a Chelsea player. So stop bringing that one thing up and quoting it out of context. And pulisic was better than willian? 6 players were better than willian? LOLOLOLOL. Sure. The only players who were better than willian on saturday were Jorginho, CHO and probably Kova.
-
Hmmm. so no appreciation? Nothing? Oh well.
-
That is a good thing, but more than strength and conditioning, Puli needs to learn how to use his body. Around 84th min of the newcastle game, he was played a ball down the wing, which lascelles, just so easily went through him and retrieved the ball. There are players in our current squad itself who can teach him that, players like willian who literally ride a challenge and a tackle.
-
Well that was far more hard fought, than it should have been. Tammy could have easily have had a hat-trick. CHO is an absolute GEM. Kovacic was very good too. JOrginho was my MOTM. What a performance. Just brilliant. Tomori needs to learn. last 3 games, 3 mistakes. Needs to cut it out. Zouma is going from strength to strength.
-
Why Barkley!!!
-
Lolol. Here we have a player, who had almost called quit, by going to china. It was only asensio's injury that cancelled the move, and now people want to get him at Chelsea. What a joke. Anyways, rumors, that's it. No way Frank would be considering it.
-
What has bale done in the last 2 years to be swapped with willy exactly? He can't score against joke defences of la liga, he is injured half the season.
-
Andreas has been solid this year. And remove the United game, zouma has been good. Most importantly, zouma seems to be improving and learning. Just take soton for example, he was immense.
-
-
Man. That post match was brutal. Does ole have any clue what he is doing.
-
Good away win. 4 on the trot. Willian was immense!!!! What a performance. Just brilliant. I thought zouma was a fucking tank. And what the hell is up with Alonso. When did he turn into Cole. I thought he was brilliant defensively. And I seriously don't like him, at all. But have to say, he deserves all the credit today. Mount was invisible for the most game and then boom, goal. Tammy had another good game from all aspects. What a goal!!! CHO was decent. Still seems to be not 100%. But still should have scored that chance. Come on blues, keep it up. PS - tomori needs to sort out over playing from the back.
-
Brilliant so far. And this is what he brings. 2 times tracked back perfectly to stop a soton dangerous attack, got an assist. Let's continue this performance
-
Exact. Come on Get in!!!
-
Any idea where he is these days? I remember he was training with at the club to get fitness a year or 2 back.
-
Now add JT and DD to complete the set.
-
Oh my fucking God, I almost had an orgasm.
-
To me, it really seems like a coin toss. Or rather based on form, need of the hour and opposition. Which includes the last season for me.
-
Willian played more minutes in 2018/19 and 17/18. I always remember as it being quite close between them but the scales tipping more towards willian than Pedro. And those minutes confirm that
-
I know, I said so myself in the post i linked. In a vaccum and an ideal world, thats exactly where mount would play. Unfortunately we dont live in such a world. When we go 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 (enough proof so far that lamps will be shifting from one formation to another), Puli will be contending for a spot with mount as well, which is what fans need to understand meaning unless he can defensively and creatively reach the output that mount gives us from out wide (not his optimum level but still pretty good), till then he will be on the bench sadly. Fans need to be patient with him, he has the talent which will shine through given time.
-
It should probably be "pointless". That's what crying over pulisic's game time is right now. In a game where we did not play a CaM, you wanted Frank to drop our best player so far? Specially after his performance from the wing against Brighton? Lol.
-
If the sample size was 1 year or small, yes, i would agree. Fortunately, its not. Its across multiple years/seasons, across club and country. There is a reason willian is attracting interest from Barca and the rest, that you so vehemently keep reminding us. I dont have to. Have you read the comments on here? Its the same fan base that JUST A MONTH AGO was ridiculing lamps for starting tammy who according to some was a championship level striker. Some even thought we would finish in the bottom half if we persisted with this youth revolution. So believe me, Not belittling the fans here, they do that themselves. All you have to do is read some of the comments on the match day thread when the teams are announced. You can rate it whatever you want, still wont change the facts.

I dont know mate. When I compare Willian vs Pedro's minutes over the course of the last 4 seasons: 2018/19: 3533 vs 3099 2017/18: 3053 vs 2509 (conte season) 2016/17: 2076 vs 2723 2015/16: 3881 vs 2781 I think there is a clear choice of managers over pedro's 4 full season here. Conte wanting willian out was for different reasons. Similar to him wanting Costa out and using morata instead. I dont think you can use that as an argument for which player is better Pedro's USP is his goal scoring. If we take successful take ons, Defensive interceptions and rating, number of turn overs etc etc, willian would be better than pedro. Each has his own merits, but given that we had eden on the left, and not really a very strong mid, you can see why the managers opted more for willy. Lastly, the fans are never happy. If we had a front 3 of CR, messi, Mbappe, they will still find a way to have a moan.
