You're right we do need a better effort from Morata, Giroud is an option but I think he is a strong option. He might not bang 20g but he is a useful player who makes other around him better. If Conte were still the coach I'd say Morata would face another difficult season as he is not a target man. Morata however has the skillset to potentially be dangerous in a more free flowing attacking system. As i said, we will see once Sarri hits the ground running and the transfer window closes how we are set up. But we are in a period of unknowns right now so I think we are both equally correct as neither can be proven right or wrong until the games starting piling up and we see.

You're opinions on the strikers is harsher than most but those are your personal opinions. I agree we need a better effort from Morata this year if we were to keep him, Giroud is a solid option. Hazard will need to look for goal more if they can't hit the numbers necessary. Higuain is being floated if Morata does want to leave, that surely solves the problem. Also, Sarri might be able to increase production from a goal rate due to his system. These are all questions that need to be answered. We currently have Courtois and if he is to leave I am confident Chelsea will bring in a goalkeeper at the level that is required. We have had Cech and Courtois since Roman took over, thats a sustained period of world class goalkeeping. I have faith in the club about this position. My initial point was we have capable(depending on personal opinion) players available in every role except Jorginho. Now we have him, I am exciting as a Chelsea supporter and curious to see the rest of our summer business!

I am so much calmer about our summer/upcoming season now that this is official AND the cherry on top is bringing in his maestro Jorginho. We had talent already on the roster to realistically fill every role except the Jorginho, but now we HAVE jorginho. Exciting times ahead, hopefully. Now let this madman go to work.

Golovin had the better WC but SMS is miles ahead as a player, he was amazing for Lazio the past couple of years. He would by all accounts be the most perfect partner to finish our midfield. Those are all fair worries. 1) Jorginho is at least a decent height, the majority of top teams play the ball on the ground now and our CB's are quite tall. In a sarri system pressing matters more than deep line defending. 2) Alonso could be sold but doubtful, Moses could be decent if he really focuses on his positioning. Both are fine players and servants for the club. I view Emerson and Azpi as grabbing the fullback roles but it will all be decided by Sarri once he works with everyone. 3) Yes, in my opinion. Hysaj is a fine player but they share many similarities. Dave is a natural RB with decent ball skills and ever improving deep crossing. He is a leader and tireless worker, those players always make it work.

My Tammy Abraham mention was more along the timeline of in 2-3 years, not next year. He is a HG prospect with immense potential. Yes ive heard the resale value and prime points before. If it were possible I would snap up Icardi, but the problem is those fish are more difficult to catch. Higuain is still firing goals in and playing at a top level, we both agree that 60m is too much and I don't think Chelsea would ever pay that but I think a negotiated price might benefit all parties involved. Lukaku and Salah are just cherry picking past players who are now stars, Lukaku I'll concede would have made it but Salah & KDB needed to develop at lesser teams to find themselves and require certain systems in which we did not play. Prospects with resale might make money eventually but Higuain could win us important games, If we had Higuain this year instead of an unfortunate season with Morata we would be in the CL not the EL. That's the tough decision which we need to balance of players who have resale but also who can do the job next month! its a tricky situation.

Fekir would be a great purchase but I hope for someone a bit more electric on the right side who can get in behind. I want Leon Bailey. If Hazard does move on for spanish pastures than Fekir would really help fill that creative void.

Not necessarily, in an optimistic view Higuain could give us 2 top shelf seasons then be a dynamic bench scorer, if either Bats or Morata develop thats a top line striker and we have Tammy Abraham coming up fast and furious who has the poaching and movement instincts that Sarri likes. We will see how it all shakes out.

From what ive seen we seem to be his only intended destination, that gives us some good leverage. If we do end up buying higuain I would be comfortable around 40m with performance related bonuses. But a flat 60? even I am probably not down with that, and i always try to be optimistic.

I agree completely, Dembele might be the most perfect RW for our setup. But as you have shown, the problem is we must keep hazard. I think barca would tempt Hazard far more than madrid would. I am confident we can be successful without hazard but I hope we don't have to find out.
