  1. I think they should a picture of CA in dictionaries next to the word 'moment' from now.
  2. I agree with you BL about Zhirkov being a quality player, i thought I was the only who recognised his quality. But CA has been using him ineffectivley for too long. He's too inconsistent in a midfield-three for me and he should be used in his natural left-winger role. I think he can become a real hit in his natural role. He's the only winger we have with real pace and his dribbling, technique and crossing is impressive too. Yet he has made only one appearance (!) as a winger for us. I'm hoping CA finally decides to play him there (switching Louda to the right?) when he comes back. It's a shame he's so injury-prone though...
  3. Finally. Glad to hear Sturridge is back. I hope CA opens his eyes and switches Daniel's and Salomon's ''ranking'' in the team.
  4. But he didn't and that's because he's a great player . And it's not even neccisarily about how great VDV is doing, it's more about what he would offer to the team. Skill, technique, vision, great passing, goal-scoring ability and creativity. Things this team need has seriously been lacking. I'm not one of those who says/said Ramires is a flop but he doesn't offer us anything we didn't already have. And what I really don't get is what stopped them (the board) from getting both.
  5. Epic fail. This guy is world-class and i can't remember how many times i said we should've signed him. Sigh, what a missed opportunity Nothing but the truth.
  6. Stumbled upon this just now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXv8mc96bkg Just loved Gudjohnsen and his dope goal celebration . Will never forget him.
  7. I can't imagine how incredibly frustated Sturridge must be.
  8. Branislav Ivanovic. He has been great all year and this year he grew out into one of Chelsea's most important players. He is also one of my Chelsea favs now . Great player and great professional. I hope he stays with us for many many years. 2. Cech 3. Alex/Cole
  9. If that were true, we'll never sign a world-class player again (unless it's a GK or defender).
  10. You're right, we lack technique in our side. Too many power players and runners.
  11. By far. And you're absolutely right about the rest. I just hope this is the start of a winning streak because we really can't afford anything else at this point.
  12. It shows he doesn't wants to get fired .
  13. Nooo, the coach can't go down that road again (!). Play the available CB at CB.
  14. Essien really proved my (and The Big Drog's) point today. With him at DM, you have all-round defensive stability you need in a DM in when playing a midfield-three and he also offers us something in attack as a bonus. I hope CA realises this. I have nothing against John but i'm thinking about what's best for Chelsea Football Club here.
  15. And CA, never play Ramires in a different role again. This is the role he had at Benfica, this role is his home.
  16. This can't go on any longer. Something needs to change, now!
  17. Luiz has a buy-out clause in his contract for 40 million pounds. He is one of their star players and many major clubs are chasing him. Why would Benfica ask something like 25 mil? Many times the Napoli president has stated that if a club wants to buy Hamsik, they will have to pay crazy money. Since they are trying to make it to the top and don't need money. And like i said, he recently extended his contract and we aren't the only club chasing him. Udinese would be fools to ask 15 mil for Sanchez. We paid 18 mil for a box-to-box midfielder from the Portugese league and you think 15 mil is enough for one of the most exciting players in the Serie A? He was also the most entertaining player of the World Cup. Come on man, they're not stupid. You're talking about what the players are probably worth but since when do clubs demand the price their worth. Example, Essien is probably worth 25 mil pounds. But if a club was interested in him, the club would demand at least 35 mil pounds. Udinese, Napoli and Benfica don't (desperately) need money so there's no reason for them to not demand very high price. The men in charge of transfers would be very bad businessmen to let those players go for those prices. Abramovic would have bought players like them a long time ago if he was able to pick them up for those prices. About Terry, Terry's 30 years old and is only going to get worse from now on. Luiz is 23 and is being tipped to be a great defender. How are you trying to compare the two . And i can't imagine how much you would have to pay for a player who just extended his contract at one of the most richest clubs in the world, and a very healthy club as they actually make profits, earning €10 mil a season (i'm talking about Schweini). And that future legends comment... sigh. Don't people realise you can never be sure about those things? There are so many things that can happen..
  18. No way. Benfica won't let Luiz go unless a club is willing to pay 30-40 million pounds. Napoli have huge ambitions and want to make it to the top. Hamsik also recently extended his contract. You're looking at 35-45 mil pounds when trying to buy Hamsik. Alexis Sanchez will also cost any club at least 20 mil pounds. Times have changed my friend, you do the math.
  19. Worst of the entire league.. wow.
  20. Nahh if there's something we need from them, it's their methods on how to work with/treat young players and how you eventually make starters/world-class players out of them.
  21. You're absolutely right about the power some players possess but it's a good thing and a bad thing. When the coach is really fucking up in something, like horrible training methods or whatever, we have players who have the courage to speak up. But when they start acting like divas, it gets annoying and can really do damage.
