  1. That looked very similar to the Luiz 'handball'.
  2. We can pull it off. Question is, can we stop conceding..
  3. I'm sorry but that's a awful nickname.
  4. Mata showed last season that he doesn't anyone alongside him to create, perform well or whatever. You just simply can't expect a player to put in a top performance every single match he plays.
  5. David Luiz needs to look up the word simplicity, print it out and hang it over his bed.
  6. Piazon looks very uncomfortable out wide. Romeu looks very rusty. Expecting him to just perform when Mikel leaves in Jan could seriously back-fire. He needs more minutes. Sturridge looks like a man who is very low on confidence. Doesn't look like himself. Ohw Hernandez, again..
  7. True but the league is far more important. We really need a win at Swansea and resting several players will increase our chances of winning. And besides, we're capable of winning this without them for sure. Just look at Utd's team
  8. True but he'd have to improve a lot. Completely different cases. Van Persie's 29, Falcao's 26. He also still has Sturridge ahead of him. And United play with two strikers and due to Welbeck's versatility, he's also a option for a wide role. Well Juan is a magician .
  9. His technique is what worries me. You're touch can't be that heavy at this level, simply doesn't work. And if Falcao were to join in the winter/summer, I doubt Romelu would wait around for 4, 5 years to be a starter.
  10. Understood. Haha you mean FIFA the football game? I'm not even a fan of the game. I watch Juve whenever I can and he's a quality defender imo. Tall, strong, fast and aggressive. Strong in the air, fantastic tackler, reads the game well and has a great knack of intercepting. He can be clumsy though (and a bit of a idiot) and can make some unnecessary fouls but nobody's perfect (except for Nesta). He wasn't doing well for a few years but really bounced back last season and has continued to play well this season, put in a very good performance against us as well. But you're right, it won't happen.
  11. Come on, as if a couple of bad games changes anything. Everyone goes through a bad spell. I'd jump at the chance of signing Kompany, not that it's going to happen. Maybe we can steal Chiellini..

  14. Poor performance, really. He just didn't know what to do most of the time.
  15. That's true but still. We've had some fine defenders at the club in the past 10-15 years and I honestly don't think Cahill is one of them. He's solid for the most part but at this level you need more than just solid.
  16. Poor performance from both him and D. Luiz. Still don't think he makes more than a good back-up. Leaving me to repeat my wish on the club targetting a new CB in the summer.
  17. Juan's even better than he was last season. He's so decisive, it's amazing. He's always there when we need someone to produce the goods, no matter the situation (future captain?). That touch in the build up for the second goal was brilliant and that aerial pass to Hazard was world-class. And of course that quality free kick. He's even making Lampard-esque runs and has similar sense of finding the right spaces. There's only Juan Mata.
  18. He's a quality player. I'd only like him to be more direct. When off the ball, making more runs behind the defence (like he did so well when Mata found him brilliantly only for Eden to arrive a little too late in the second half). And on the ball with his dribbling and shooting. He usually waits until he sets the ball up perfectly to take a shot but I'd like to more quick and ambitious shots. Like the one where he tested De Gea today with a low drive. Other than that, he's class. He can't defend but I already knew that. But it's something he can work on.
  19. And oh yeah, who said small, technical players don't have mental strength and know how to perform when the going gets tough? Hazard, Mata and Oscar really went at it and never gave up.
  20. We were great once we finally woke up. Outplayed them even. I'm going to focus on that. Exciting times on the way for sure.
