I don't really buy this rubbish about Roman keeping a player in the team because he's a favourite of his. The only thing he cares about is results and I seriously doubt he'd encourage a player who's costing us a place in the champions league and therefore money to be allowed to keep playing simply because he likes him. The managers have a free reign on who they pick.

I'm sorry but the manager should get some blame for this. This shocking performance is not down to the board but the manager.
-
Even if we sack him now, who is there to replace him? Absolutely no one. There's a lack of good managers out there right now and all the best ones are taken and won't be leaving anytime soon. Can't see some average manager coming in and getting fourth so best thing to do now is to stick with conte, support him heavily in January and hope the team is good enough to beat the smaller sides and sneak top 4.
-
I wasn't that excited when we got him as I didn't really think he was that good, and unfortunately looks like I'm right. Yes he did well at Juventus but Serie A was a one team league. Allegri was wank at Milan but goes to Juventus and suddenly becomes a world class manager. Land let's not even talk about his poor record in Europe with juventus.

I thought conte was supposed to be this hard man who'll drop anyone who didn't perform? He looks like a mouse out there right now.
-
Poor utd. Just goes to show what an incredible genius Alex Ferguson was. To me he's the greatest manager the game has ever seen, period.
-
I wonder if the Chelsea fans who threatened to boycott the club because of his sacking still feel the same way.
-
Yikes. Just keep getting worse
-
come on Chelsea
-
Speaking of Mourinho, I really think his best days are behind him. This utd job is his last big job in England and he will inevatibly fuck it up like he did at Chelsea when he doesn't get his way. He can't go back to Spain or Germany as Bayern will never hire him. I suppose he can crawl back to inter as they seem desperate but as a top manager he's done.
-
Guardiola took Bayern to three champions league semi finals in 3yrs. Obviously they came up short but it's not a bad record by any means.
-
The same man who's about to build a new stadium will quit because of no champions league two years in a row? As for qualifying for the champions league, this team is good enough to get there easily.
-
Agree. If we don't win the league, I wouldn't mind City winning it. The other top clubs winning it would be unbearable, especially the special twat.
-
Cahill has actually been good so far.
-
With the Manchester clubs playing, this is a great chance to get some extra points before our double header against Liverpool and Arsenal. Swansea have been shocking so I can see us winning easily but we all know it's that simple.
-
Btw unlike some I happen to think our board is actually competent and do support the manager with signings. I also understand we're no longer the richest club out there. There's a lot of money and rich clubs and far more competition with a small amount of really good players. Let's trust the board, the manager and the players and have some faith.

http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2016/8/29/12691838/ngolo-kante-chelsea-burnley-premier-league I really enjoyed this article on Kante. He rules the league by fear.
-
When did Chelsea fans become so whiny? Constantly moaning about everything.
-
Andy Carroll must be licking his lips at this defence.
-
Surely Conte himself should know by now Terry and Cahill should be no where near our back four. We fucked up last summer which led to mourinho leaving and seems like we haven't learned anything.
-
Don't mind pellegrini actually. Has done quite well at city and I'm sure he will be supported financially. After the special one's antics, it would be nice to have a manager who doesn't embarrass himself and the club every week. Also lets be honest, we are running out of options. Pep isn't coming, Simeone is mourinho 2.0 and to be honest I'm bored of that kind of football. I want to see an exciting attacking Chelsea team.
-
He's like mourinho without all the nasty side effects.
-
Drogba is a huge influence in the dressing room, even more than terry and I'm very happy he's back. things finally looking good again
-
The bitterness is nothing to do with his short termism but the chaos he leaves behind. if he wants to leave after three seasons, then that's fine but why leave the club in such a mess? He did the same at Madrid, leaving them in a mess and Ancelotti had to come in and clean up his mess. Guardiola will be leaving Bayern and he will do it in a respectful way; on good terms with everyone and the club just as strong as when he arrived.
-
That's him all over. He did the same at Madrid, blaming the players for everything wrong and taking credit for everything right. I think he even credited himself for Ronaldo's form despite the fact that Ronaldo was already a world class player before Jose arrived and even after he left. He's a genius no doubt and I will always appreciate what he did for us but I'm also very relieved he's been sacked and this time it should be final. No more coming back. We should definitely name a stand at Stamford bridge or something commemorative for him though. That much he deserves.
