  1. not trying to make excuses, but i think that if we had faced any other midtable team instead of City after our win in Madrid, we could have won at home, but like Conte said, City with their constant pressing, quick play and intensity is what did us, we were knackered after our win in Madrid, altough our defense dealt with their threats pretty well, but still we cant have any excuses, City were simply much better and sharper than us, we had no answer for them, an extra day of rest would have helped for sure and our tough fixture list so far doesnt help either, specially after Champions League games, that´s why you need a big squad to cope with all those games in succession. Cheers
  2. im reading comments on other forums and everyone is writing us off already after this loss to City, what a joke. It was a great game by City and they deserve the win but let´s not talk as if it was a Champions League final, i will give the benefit of the doubt to Conte because we looked tired after that Madrid game and Morata´s injury was a turning point, still no excuse, but at the end of the day its only 3 points for them, still a long season to go, nothing is won yet by anyone, everyone is riding City and United dicks, jeez i swear manc fans are the worst. We will bounce back from this loss, lets believe in the team.
  3. i really want to see a starting regular back 3 of Azpi - Luiz - Christensen with Rudiger and Cahill rotating
  4. City have yet to go on a bad run, lets see when it gets really tough how will they cope, they beat Liverpool who has a horrible defence and were down to 10 men, they beat us after our tiring win in Madrid, and they had more rest and no travel, unlike us, everything is going for them at the moment, but it wont last for long, i feel it. Im not trying to make any excuses, City are a formidable team at the moment, but we´ll see for how long can they mantain this rythm, its still early days. Cheers
  5. it seems that win against A.Madrid took its toll on the players unfortunately, who knows what an extra day of rest could have done for us, but what´s done is done, now lets march on and regroup. Cheers and KTBFFH
  6. i agree with what youre saying about City, but lets not forget that they can have a bad day just like anyone else, a slip up is bound to happen altough that seems very unlikely at the moment, reminds me of Tottenham´s winning run at the end of last season when they were going toe to toe with us, only to lose to West Ham away thus ending their hopes of the title, we were simply much better. Still a very long season, anything can happen, the lesser sides will have a major say where the title goes this season. Cheers
  7. agree, lets regroup and focus on the next matches, Christensen has cimented his spot for me, amazing player, lets see if Conte sees the same. Cheers
  8. Now that i have a much clear head, the only odd result there would be our loss against Burnley, it still irks me, on any other given day it would have been a win for us, other than that we faced 2 top teams at home, yes we could have done much better but it wasnt meant to be, overall it could have been much worse to be honest considering our difficult fixture list, and like you said, thank God for our away form otherwise we would be lingering down the table. The positive thing i can take from all of this is that we are going to have a much nicer calendar in the next months and we should capitalize on that as City and United will drop points at some point with their respective tough schedules still to come, its still early season, the gap is not that big, pundits and media can say its between only the Manchester clubs for the title, so let them lick their asses, we just have to regroup now and do our job, and we will have a much clear picture come January what our chances are, its still a long season. Cheers
  9. lets just pray there is nothing more to it
  10. you just know that if it was United or even City they would have moved the match to another day, still no excuses from us.
  11. i dont understand why Conte didnt put Michy on considering he is our only other striker available, the fact is Conte got it wrong today and lost. well whats done is done,
  12. sorry, im just fuming at the moment, but in that aspect youre right, Conte wanted to cointain City main threats, Morata´s injury fucked up everything, but i feel we could and should have done much better considering we were playing at home, we looked like we were playing away, we respected City too much, couldnt attack to save our lives, City got what they deserved. in the end this is on the board for not getting more players in during the summer, you can see we lack depth, as soon as Morata came off we were done for, altough i expected Michy to come on at that time, who knows what might have happened, would have it made a difference at that moment? maybe, but we can only speculate. Cheers
  13. this, i cant believe Conte didnt put Michy on when Morata got injured, what kind of message does this send to Michy , even after scoring the winner against Atletico? Conte lost the plot and that´s 2 games against top opposition at home with only 1 point from those games, simply not good enough, he needs to sort his mess. Cheers
  14. Conte played not to lose, but in the end we lost, i didnt expect this coward aproach from him, very conservative. im extremely dissapointed
  15. its amazing we didnt concede more to be honest, the 1-0 loss is flattering, that just shows how shit we were, what a way to ruin my mood this weekend, at least we weren´t humilliated, but fuck this, i expected much more from this group of players, the fact that Morata´s injury led to this, it shows we still have big issues to solve this one is on the board for not getting the required targets in the summer, yes Conte got his tactics all wrong today and also the subs, but it doesnt hide the fact that our board fucked it up again. The players were tired from the Madrid game, Morata´s injury is a testament to that, such a shame to lose at home and as champions playing like this at home is embarassing, we looked like an average team, congrats to City, they were miles better than us today and we couldnt cope with them or cause them any problems, they played us off the park and they deserve the victory. its back to the drawing board again, lets just hope Morata´s injury isnt so serious. Cheers mates
  16. it seems that Madrid game took a lot from the players, we just had to face City next didnt we? still no excuses from Conte and the team
  17. its like he´s sending the board a message with these blunders
  18. i guess Michy will have to come on at some point no? we have no reference up top, what will it do to Michy´s confidence when Conte prefers to sub Morata for William, specially after scoring the winner against Atletico
  19. ahhh shit man just what we needed, just when Morata was on form, fuck this shit, i really hope its not that serious
  20. can someone explain to me what happened with Morata? i cant watch the game at the moment and why did Conte sub Morata for William and not Pedro or Michy? are we playing crap? from the comments here it appears so
  21. from the names you mentioned, realistically i think it will be very hard to get any of them, at the moment they all play for top sides, so you can imagine we would have to cough up silly money to sign any of them, also if the player will want to come to us and the club wanting to sell, you saw the mess we made with Alex Sandro who i thought we had a very good chance to sign, but Juventus played hard ball too, we should have focused on other targets to. I think we will try to get one of them in the summer and we may succeed or not, it will depend on a lot of things or we could find a gem somewhere. Cheers
  22. its really baffling to think that Costa only has 2 goals for us in the Champions League in 3 seasons, you would have expected him to score a lot more than that, Michy in his first champions league game with us already bags 2 and is equal with Costa, ok sure, it didnt help to get knocked out by PSG twice in a row in the last 16, but its really poor by Costa´s standards. It just goes to show how underwhelming we have been at this stage and we need to do better in the future, i have a very good feeling about our current chances, but first let´s make sure we qualify from the group, then we will see.
