  1. Yes like a Doctor Who assistant on acid.
  2. This is my last word on this but you say'' Why do you imagine that you can see the things Brana is doing poorly but that Jose can't''. I'm hardly alone thinking that am I ?. The I'm not going to pretend to myself that I'm somehow cleverer then he is we are talking about full backs for God's sake have some perspective. As for Aguero being the worse managerial decisions in Chelsea's history is hyperbole. Docherty sending the players home after going on the piss in Blackpool we would have won the league that year. Sexton selling Osgood and Hudson, Bates replacing John Neal with Hollins etc etc.
  3. That EE advert with Rio Ferdinand nearly brought up my dinner after seeing that.
  4. I really don't see your point at all it's almost as if you think managers and coaches are above criticism. You seem to be from the school of thought like Steve Claridge and Robbie Savage that if you haven't played or managed at the top level your point of view is meaningless. Saying Lampard is the best player in the world is just basically a manager bigging up one of his players nothing more. He obviously didn't notice that Ivan was playing terribly or he just picked him out of loyalty or pig headiness Stevie Wonder would have noticed how out of form Ivan was. The last bit I've read a couple of times and I still can't make head nor tail of it. How can you logically say that playing a massively out of form centre back is the best available option when you have a genuine right back in Dave.
  5. 47 million quid for a bloke who can't dislodge Smalling from the England team!!! I think we dodged a bullet there.
  6. In 2002-3 the season before Roman came we were so skint our transfer outlay was £500,000 on Oliveria and a free transfer in De Lucas. Since then we have spent millions upon millions on new players and had unparalleled success. Now we can no longer spend that amount of money my advice is learn to live with it. We have hopefully a new Bridge on the way which is going to cost a fortune and as someone who has been going to Stamford Bridge since 1975 I am delighted that we are staying In 2003 even with that minuscule amount spent on players we still managed to finish fourth and as Leicester have proved you don't need to flash the cash to win trophies. Man City were lucky that they were basically given a new ground by Manchester council so the infrastructure was in place when they were taken over. If we have a few lean years so be it believe me last year was fuck all to some we've had in the past.
  7. So your saying that the managers pick him as a Hobson's choice ?. Of course it's an assumption and not an unreasonable one to think they rate him as a full back when Dave is a far better option. I think Baba may have improved with a few games under his belt but was never given the opportunity. And his confidence must have taken a kicking when your signed for 17 million quid or whatever it was and are kept out of the side by a right back.
  8. Fair enough but the majority of Chelsea fans I know and at the Bridge and even non Chelsea fans can see Ivan is a terrible right back .I'm not sure what your objection is to be honest I gave my opinion and I don't think it was very controversial to say we will struggle at the back this season. Every fan is a frustrated coach it's part of the game and of course don't see things the coaches can but I still find it baffling how many top class coaches think Ivan is a good right back.
  9. This is a season to far for John Terry hand on heart everyone knows that. I would never hold up a placard at the Bridge that's for twats like that geezer who held up the one about Lampard. They just want to get there face in the papers for there one minute of fame. Cahill is not a top class defender as his performances in the World Cup and Euro's prove. Ivan is a terrible right back can be no arguments there. If he's played at right back that was my point Mourinho, Hiddink and possibly Conte will have all played him in that position and every Chelsea fan know's he's a liability. As for snapping fingers in the transfer market as I've not said or hinted at that I don't know what your on about there. Not sure what's bewildering about saying we lack quality in the back four. As for sense of humour well I couldn't possibly comment but do you write letters to the Daily Telegraph ?
  10. It's amazing isn't it every Chelsea fan can see it but three highly respected coaches Mourinho, Hiddink and it would seem Conte can't.
  11. Opening game of 2000 can't believe it's 16 years ago bit of this will do nicely.
  12. Well stop being a Mourinho apologist then mate.
  13. I've just got home from the pub turned on the telly and their showing Arsenal vs Man City on terrestrial tv what the fuck for ?. If they were playing that game in my back garden I'd draw the curtains. What's really alarming is Pep wearing a Stone Island jumper what's next Mourinho wearing a Burberry baseball cap !
  14. While people keep glibly stating that Mourinho is our most successful ever manager lest we forget he's also been sacked twice. He wasn't exactly successful in Europe for us was he ? Three semi finals and a paltry two goals pretty pathetic.
  15. Not a surprise he's gone very odd buy clearly not good enough for the cut and thrust of English football. When we played Newcastle in our only win under Hiddink at home (diabolical statistic by the way) I think from memory he came on when John Terry got injured. He looked very ordinary his body shape was always wrong he was always on the back foot and Townsend gave him a hard time even though we were winning the game comfortably. Clearly Mourinho didn't rate him as his appearances were rarer then rocking horse shit under him.
  16. John Terry attends 1966 anniversary gala in full vintage England kit, demands winner’s medal
  17. Hate to be pedantic or a grammar Nazi but I'm not sure about the use of the word literally.. It is after all the favourite word of that twat Jamie Redknapp who once said '' That ball was literally put on a plate for him''. Perhaps the word virtually would be better'' Baba is virtually on his way to Schalke''.
  18. Hope I never sit next to you at a game mate !
  19. Just can't believe fans take pre seaon so seriously. It's overkill just too much football these days. Ok I'm from a different generation but up to the late 90's early 2000's if you didn't go to a pre season game and I went to a few the only way you could find out the score was by looking in the Sunday papers and even then not all of them printed the results. The big factor in these games is rustiness and of course no one wanting to pick up an injury before the season starts. Last pre season was badly organised with the players gaining more air mile points then they did league points. These competitions are for overseas fans who can't get to the Bridge or the Bernabeu hence the size of the crowd yesterday. They are commercial exercises plain and simple and have zero relevance in what happens in the up coming season. Hands up without Googling it can remember the Charity Shield of 2012 ?. Shit game played at a half empty Villa Park and we took more fans to Grimsby in 1984 then we did for that game.
  20. Talking of Geoff Hurst here's a clip for you F.B. ''Is Geoff Hurst's career as a pundit over ? It is now''
  21. Bought a pin badge on Ebay the little one's from the late 70's early 80's.. You could get them in yellow and green and white and blue as well. I also bought a red white and green scarf. Had loads of badges and scarfs when I was a kid some of them cost about 30 quid on Ebay now. I moved house recently had to leave all my Chelsea fanzines I used to buy them all even though some of them were terrible like Red Card.
