This is what I dont understand. We slag our manager and players off for their lack of consistency yet our board get away scot free. Yes theres been a couple of times that when we strike early like Costa,Cescy,N'Golo we can get great cheap buys but then most of the time we get alot of mediocre players . I always laid this at Emenalos door, probably because I just didn't like him tho. But we dont really know who or how our transfer system works. I would like us to get a proper Technical director and have him and his team working closely with whoever manages us. Way I see it we need to upgrade more players than we actually keep which wont be done in ine window. But without knowing what manager we will have and formation,styles,type of player he wants its absolutely pointless for us thinking of players to bring in yet IMHO of course.

I wouldn't like to see it. It might be a character flaw on my behalf but I really dont like them.

Just looking at the odds of who will be our next manager. One place has Allegri down as 2/1 fave and Sarri is 33/1 yet another site has Sarri and Enrique joint 5/2 faves with Allegri at 9/2. Sarri might be worth having a couple of quid on @ 33/1

OK but maybe in the long run it ould be best for him AND US too have a 2 year loan like AC/Mount. We dont want him sitting round thinking about playing every week and getting itchy feet do we. I would personally ant to keep Willi over Eden! (Looks for a big rock to hide behind) And I'd never like to see any of our players play in a team against us. And tho its obvious Willi loves the club we couldn't stand in his way IF he wanted to go. OK I'd upgrade Willi if we had a chance of course but if possible would still like to keep him here too Don't mind too much if Pedro goes. But saying that I remember just how well he stood up when Willi went to his Mum. Pedro played great and it took awhile for Willi to get his place back. He very rarely plays on the right side tho.

I probably agree but I'm also fed up of us signing players 'with potential' we have an academy full of those. IF we are serious about wanting to compete at a top level we need to start bringing in proper class. But these links to 'wannabes' / 'hasbeens' / players with long injury histories and players that are on 1 year renewables do my nut in.

I know mate. yje lads dominated them from the whistle. There SEEMS to be good potential in a handful of them. And this next step is going to be the big one. They either get lost like Brown and whats happening to Charley in really bad loans or get somewhere like Andreas,Tibo,Mount,RLC has that the manager will take them under his wing and they come home stronger. OR Do we keep a couple,let them have a few mins here n there, couple of cup games and see how it goes to January and see then if a loan would be better?

I hear ya mate. But in our current climate of seemingly not wanting to spend much, looking like no CL and never been a club which attracts the 'A List' players, we might be better off looking towards cheaper options. MAYBE other players with PL or lower division experience MIGHT work. And its only a rumoured report.
