  1. This is 100% true. Another thing to consider is the fact that it isn't Chelsea they hate, just Mourinho. There is another team I followed in a different sport where the coach was arrogant, obnoxious, and like Jose, universally frowned upon. During his reign, whether or not there was success, a dark cloud of media negativity followed the team around like a plague. Only when he was finally canned did this end. I believe the same is happening to our beloved Blues with Jose. Despite how much or how little I support his tactics, it wouldn't be at all unbelievable to think a Jose exit would lift the black cloud.
  2. And to think that I used to read this forum for entertainment...so much for that. Everyone complains and expects Jose to win the Treble every year. To come short of that is, apparently, failure, even if it means a League Cup/Premier League double. I, for one, am realistic that no side can win 3 trophies every year and that 1-2 is much more realistic and likely given the competition not only in England but across Europe. Especially considering that we have only 1 trophy in the two years prior, this year should end as a fantastic achievement for us, with solid ground to build on for UCL competition next year, should our main focus shift back to Europe. But for me, you don't win 2 trophies in a single year without excellent players and coaches who are at least doing the jobs they should. You can get lucky and win one, but two is no coincidence. Enjoy the good times, we are not promised them forever.
  3. I have trouble finding the people who complain about our lack of style points as legitimate fans of football, let alone our beloved Chelsea FC. Are you all really telling me that you only care to watch a match that meets your definition of "quality" as opposed to just enjoying watching Chelsea win a trophy? At the end of the day, I personally don't care what tactics we employed or if we looked like Pele's Brazil or not, so long as we win. That is why I bother being a fan of anyone - not to obsess over our supposedly superior style, but to enjoy the wins that come and use the losses as motivation for the future. Did any of you actually play competitive football at all? Because I did. And I constantly hear how we are "lucky" here or there or, as is usually the case, almost every time. You know why? Because we are good. Good teams create their own "luck." You think the ball just happened to bounce to Terry at the six? No, it did not. He knew where the best positioning was for the most likely area of deflection. You think Costa's goal was lucky? Hardly. Cesc's incisive pass and Costa's burst put Walker on the back foot and caused him to be in a position where he was vulnerable to a deflection. Good teams know how make their own luck. We do and you all can't even see it for what it is or enjoy it for what it is beca use you've been poisones by the Guardiola's and Wenger's of the world. If you prefer style over all else then why are you not supporters of another team instead of the always lucky and scrappy Chelsea FC? That is all.
