Terry is not a weak link in our defence, though. Our left side is solid. The problem is that Ivanovic does simply not defend and Cahill is inadequate. Zouma looks like a stronger defender already, tbh. He was right to get rid of Luiz. You cannot criticise him for this, that was just about enough to pay for both Diego and Cesc, arguably 2 of the best signings this season.

tbh Remy will probably leave in the summer, hopefully 'Dinho being his replacement. Drogba said he wants to be in the Chelsea family, *not* necessarily as a player. I think he will have his chance. Plus, next year going on 37? 38? I think Drog will really be third choice this time round, probably learning the training ropes more than playing, really.

That's because along the back line there was very little experience and nearly no confidence in Cahill. Terry should have been playing for that reason alone. That and the fact that a) we have nobody of the build/role of Matic to use instead, b ) when Mikel came off we were playing with 2 attacking CDMs, not one sitting one on the Matic role. Matic is crucial because he galvanises he midfield. Without him,the back 4 corrode. When Bradford began to attack, the nature of our playing CDMs meant they offered little in defence. Combined with the inexperienced back line, we were asking for it really.
