  1. This sounds like a Conte meltdown we had last season.
  2. To some degree what Alonso was for us. Of course, Alonso being inferior to Sterling. Agree 100%, system player is a great term.
  3. ALALLALAALA YEEEAHHH!!! THEY STILL HAVE TO GO TO ANFIELD AND ETIHAD!! THEY ARE DONE!!
  4. Higuain will go back to Juve only if there is better offer on the table for both sides (for example Liverpool coming in for him and want permanent deal so Juve and Gonzalo both like that), and I cannot see that happening.
  5. I just wonder where this leaves us with Higuain and Kova. I think this stops us from registering NEW players, right? Kovačić and Higuain are already registered, so we just need to prolong their loans or buy them, no?
  6. We should really score 2 more so CHO and RLC can enter the game the earliest possible.
  7. Kepas' behaviour was maybe not what most of people likes, and what we needed in that moment. But I am glad to see that kind of passion and hunger in our team with usually more laid-back people like Kante, Hazard, Willian... After all - deep down he was right, so it's all good if you ask me. We should work on that this kind of misunderstanding never happens again, not on Kepa's behaviour. He is a good kid.
  8. Best part of this is watching that fucker Ramos letting his team down and getting bit of a karma back. Scumbag.
  9. I liked Jorginho - Kovačić and Barkley - RLC change. RLC should have even started. Also, great thing Emerson is getting more playing time than Alonso. Great goal by Jorginho, he and Kepa was MOTM for me. He got tired and made some mistakes in second half, good thing Sarri changed him. EDIT: Finally, Jorgis' long passing was on point, should have made some assists if our strikers were focused. Christy was ok, but Luiz is just a physical presence that Andres cannot fulfill. Emerson goodish in attack, but not so good in defense. Hazard was still tired, he was invisible after 50. mins. Willian was good but needed a bit more brain in front of goal. Higuain awesome apart from missed 100% chance. Goal and that what their GK saved were REALLY awesome! About the game - we were in a black hole for about half an hour, and should have bagged it in first 35 minutes. From 10 to 40, we really played great. Good good things to build from for next games.
  10. Does games like against City counts as Sarri having a plan B? Also, really glad RLC was involved in last two games against big opponents. I think he deserves more chance than CHO, man waited for so long to be playing.
  11. If we want to have a good chance of top4, this must be a convincing win. And I believe it will be.
  12. Sometimes you need to touch very bottom to really start rebuilding things. More and more I want just that scenario to happen. I am sick of this, every two years, having false hope and false image of our team and club as a whole. We are cheaply stitching scar after scar every year, but it would be healthier to just go to the hospital. Touch the fucking bottom. Reveal all of our mistakes. And then let's start again. Maybe that shakes whole club up.
  13. This is cool post. But change this "Sarri type" with "possession-attacking type". Sarri is not the only manager our players aren't compatible with.
  14. Imagine now being in head of Marina. She doesn't have one clue of what to do now. Not even remotely.
  15. Sarri in or Sarri out, it doesn't matter anymore. I give up on him. Pity is that manager like Conte is just what board like ours needed. Only thing incompatible with Conte was his mouth. Manager like Sarri is for a well run club, with clear structure, with decent founds and with different players. His football needs everything set-up well, not like it is with us. He is not adaptable. We and him are match made in hell.
  16. Maybe because our top 4 fight cannot afford risks like buying massively unproven Piatek?
  17. Ok, let's not compare Kalou or Bertrand. But what about Cahill? He too scored often 6-8 goals per season, played a lot of games and have been important for our success. Cahill too sometimes looked really good, in some setups, but regardless of that we all knew that he is not a top player, we all knew that he is only a good player. Why no one considered him top player, or one of the best central-backs in the league, like they did with Alonso? It really baffles me. Alonso is Cahill of LWB/LB.
  18. Maybe he wanted to give it to Higuain, but his cross is just that bad that it ended up going to Kante...
  19. THANK YOU. Whenever he is not good enough people blame Jorginho, ergo, they blame Sarri. And our coach said himself that Kante goes too much forward at times and that he doesn't like that.
  20. Yes, well, this is another factor too, but not for interim coaches. Interim coaches are content with cash, as you mentioned. I am not even considering that manager who replaces Sarri could stay after summer... to find someone who is really worth it in this short period would be really really hard, I am not even considering it as an option.
  21. - with having only Marina in charge, no director of football, no Roman in England, and with transfer ban knocking at the door... I wouldn't risk another instability factor - it means this lot of players will mostly stay at the club and won't feel consequences, and it will be for third manager straight that it happens - switching to attacking football will take time, being it with Sarri or not, and attacking football is clearly what out board wants; also I am not sure are there even some available coaches who play attacking football - sacking coach like Sarri to bring someone like Conte for interim role would be huge step backwards in attempt of changing our philosophy - Sarri, with all of his faults, have beaten Liverpool and Spurs in cup, and with setup like that it could be enough to win EL where opponents are not that strong - United is too strong under Ole, getting new coach for getting top4 finish won't help us; in time new manager settles and produces something, United will be far from us - it costs money, we didn't pay what we owe to Conte yet
  22. Well, he rarely changes introduces Emerson in the game as a sub. Against City he did that, I think that is a good sign, he obviously thought that Alonso wasn't good enough. ...But I agree, it's unacceptable. I really hope to God that Sarri can change his attitude for some things because we really can't afford to sack manager again.
  23. The way Jose Mourinho put Casillas on the bench, partly out of principles to show who is the boss, I want to see Sarri putting Alonso. Same with Hart and Pep. Mourinho even benched Pogba not so long ago. And Sarri can't bench f*cking Marcos Alonso... Same goes for Willian/Pedro, of course.
