With Hazard leaving, it will be good to have one strong experienced character in squad. Big plus is he already worked with Sarri. This could be good, if we offload one of our 3 strikers for decent money. Having 4 strikers will not be good. Also, when Hazard leaves, we will need TWO top wingers to bring. That could be hard. But, why not play Morata and Higuain together? They could be very good. One is predator but slow and old(ish), one is not a predator, but fast and young.

Costa left, Fabregas is not playing anymore for sure, Courtois will leave and Hazard too. End of an era, end of one very good CFC generation, way too soon. How JT, FL, DD (with PČ and AC) lasted for almost 10 years, and this generation lasted only for like 5 years? Well, because of all the Essiens, Ballacks, Ivanovićs, Carvalhos, Anelkas, Joe Coles. That's the only difference.

If Real doesn't offer 200 millions, give him new contract with 180mils buy-out clause, which would be guarantee that we will sell him if he wants to leave next year. And no, fuck all this "200 mils are too much". Do you know who the F is Eden Hazard? I mean, Coutinho left for 140 millions, and what have he won? Did he lead his team to multiple trophies like Eden did? Is he Belgian captain and second best player on this World Cup? Mbappes' price was what, 120 millions? And he was just young talent. Don't get me started on Dembele. You have proven top 4 player in the world, in his peak years, but still young enough to play for 5 years. 2 years left on the contract. Yes, his worth is AT LEAST 200 millions.

OMG how must Bakayoko feel now... Poor lad... And Drinkwater... DAMN YOU SARRI!!!!
-
Lol. I have no more arguments, you got me.
-
Losing Hazard is just one big reality check for this club. It was coming for years now. Fuck that Leicester-esque title that we have won, that proves nothing in context where we really are. We are still on our knees, that's where we are.
-
He lost to Bayern with Borussia, he lost to Real with Liverpool. Massively inferior teams. It's shallow way of thinking.
-
Unfortunately, we have nothing to offer to a player compared to Liverpool. They have great proven manager, stability, played in UCL final, are playing in UCL now. Also, they are bringing quality for years now. Give up on Alisson and get down to Earth, board.
-
Agree, I'd rather let him run down his contract. Either Real pays REAL money, or GTFO. Nobody messes with us! (except ADL ofc)
-
Oh fuck me, forgot about that. We are screwed.
-
How in the world Alisson can be more expensive than Thibo? I mean, Thibo is playing for 5 years on very good, sometimes excellent level. And now, this guy comes with one great season under his belt and what, he's worth 70 milions? And recently - World Cup golden glove, lol. We should be profiting from this deal, not losing money. Also, Thibo has only 26 years, only year more than this guy.

If he is at Mbappe close control level, I am pleased. If he is below that I don't like him - simple as that. Because when some injury (or age) kick their speed out, they are left with nothing. And when team closes down and puts bus, players like that tend to be useless. Let me put it this way - I rate Mbappes' close control with lets say 85/100, Hazard is on 96. Mbappes' speed 95/100, Hazards' 88/100. I think Mbappe uses his pace when dribbling most of the time, not his skills and close control that much. You can't operate in tight Premier league defences with speed only... And if Bailey isn't good enough to rate him 84, I don't like him, and he SEEMED to me like one of those players couple of times I watched, but I might be wrong... Just my preference.
-
I don't think Mbappes' close control is something great. I think it's ok, and combined with his insane speed and agression he looks like monster in wide areas. But I don't think he could be that great in crowded areas, like Hazard can. But ok, it's different style, but I would always prefer more skilful players than those speed demons.
-
Isn't he like Martins-DjibrilCisse type of player? Really fast, great power, but no real technique (dribbling, ball control, passing etc)?
-
Modrić played as a midfield-winger at Dinamo Zagreb sometimes too, long time ago.
-
From Matić, old Fabregas, Drinkayoko, to this... Haven't had midfield like this since Lampard days.
-
Exactly, Martial is player type we should aim at. We will lack gunpowder with midfield like this. Willian is the worst thing we could do to ourselves at that position.
-
More creation we have in midfield, more we can focus on getting goalscoring winger. It's rare that winger is creative AND good goalscorer. With Jorginho and Golovin, right-winger must be some goal-scoring machine, more like Bale-Salah-Sanchez-primePedro-Robben type of player than Hazard-Reus-Ribery type. Someone who attacks the space with great runs and know how to score, mainly.
-
He would be perfect. 24 yo, not expensive, great left foot.
-
I think with his abilities, many other players will look better too. He will make life easier for Kante, for example. Because he is so great in finding positions that Kante, who is not that good with a ball, will always have someone to pass to. Same with others, he could make their lives a lot easier. More than anything, he is great at clever movement. Finding places to give or receive a pass. Also, he is very clever and skilful when taking the ball from opponents, great improvement on Fabregas. If anyone rates Busquets highly, he is just like him (only not a twat). I can't express how happy I am to finally have a (second) complete midfielder. I think this is the most important Chelsea signing since Hazard.

I love this Italian connection with the club. Really really lot of Italians made their mark at the club. It always seems to me when Chelsea gets down, some Italian guy will come to rescue. EDIT: And also, because of our Italian history, they are always tempted to come here. That is really great thing to have, they are huge footballing nation.

He is good coach, not a God.

We still have a lot of things in our hands. Strong argument would be UCL - but why go to Real who won't win it in next two years for sure? Eden is type of player that could play great until his 33 at least, take one more season of no UCL and than come with a bang and present Sarri-ball to the world. 4 more years to win the UCL at least, with Chelsea. Really the worst time to go to Real Madrid - Juve, City and even Liverpool are the teams to watch in UCL now. Bayern might come into combination too.
