Born leader this lad. From the time he started here under Sarri directing traffic every game. Just wish he had a bit more pace. Vice captain well deserved even in his short time at the club.
-
^^^ in fairness rightfully so he played really well today on both sides of the ball

What a drive from Willian there CHO needs to score. No excuses for injury. If he's fit enough to start he should score.

Can we sign Kante to a lifetime contract?
-
Tammy wow
-
I'm constantly amazed at how comfortable they look out there. Mount and Tomori (minus about 10 minutes) already look more like veteran players than some of our actual veteran players. Tammy growing into his role every game and excited to see more of Reece James. The future is very bright indeed...

Zonal marking is a joke enough already with this. Maybe with another group of players, more training etc but right now we can't handle it. Fix this Frank!

Tibo gonna Tibo

Think he's outgrown his "Sarri's boy" tag and is quite important to our team. Works hard and is a leader on the pitch although I wish his final touch could be a little better.
-
71' gone and they take their first corner and had every right to score. Are we not working on set plays in training? It's embarrassing.
-
If we don't give away any corners or free kicks near goal the entire game we should be fine.
-
We really don’t have an academy or loan player that is better than Alonso? I find that hard to believe.
-
Kante, Emerson and Mount all in the lineup is better than I expected. Would love to have Rudiger fit too but 3 outta 4 ain’t bad. Come on boys!!!
-
I still take such pleasure in this. Thought it might get old after a while but it really hasn’t.

Cheers to Tammy on what he's done this year and especially today. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Mason Mount has also been tremendous. His positioning and reading of the game has been far beyond his years. Truly has been playing like a Premier League veteran. +3 points against a difficult side
-
Missing Rudiger and Kante has been a big blow. And we've integrated so much youth which is great, but we also have some deficiencies that we need to improve next open window for us. All that aside the hard part for me to watch is how dominant we can look for stretches of the game and then completely let our foot off the gas pedal. A team like City might be able to get away with that because of the quality they have all over the pitch and even on the bench. We're not good enough to do that. Hoping for a fresh start across the board after the international break.

Tomori looked the part today at least. Hell of a lot smoother than anyone else at the back...
-
There are people here who'd rather see Zouma than David Luiz? Like what? Literally everytime a ball gets passed to Zouma I'm concerned...
-
Ummm there are people defending this guy?
-
Kovacic had absolutely no use for Barkley taking that free kick after Pulisic was fouled. Threw his hands up in the air after he hit middle of the wall. Come on you Blues!

Beyond impressed with his start in the first team. Has really stepped up and hardly seems like a 20 year old. Takes on defenders/shots like he's been in the league for years. Keep on rolling...
-
I'm very likely on my own here but I like this player. Liked him last season too.

Barkley and Zouma this year...

Amazing start to the game could've broken them. And yet somehow we let our foot off the gas pedal and we're one moment away from being all square. Seen this happen too many times. Come on boys!! A lot of Pedro haters but man has he staked his claim for being a nailed on starter. His effort so far has been like Willian the year before he got his new contract.
