Withstood the pressure and early goal then seemed ready to pounce which is encouraging. But for the love of God will somebody just SHOOT THE BALL! Literally anybody. Stop passing and put a shot on goal. Also...Kovacic from 39'-41' was awesome to watch. What an effort.

Kovacic left it all on the pitch today impressive effort. Wasn't always pretty and the ending was a bit nervy at times...but three points is three points. And spurs lost so get in!!

Has to be said Ajax do hit some delightful balls in off free kicks. And against our set piece defense that's not exactly a recipe for success. Alonso is such a goof. Stupid penalty given up against United and now a ridiculous foul with a player double teamed and going nowhere. He's a senior player at this point and has almost no situational awareness. Kind of shocking.

What a brilliant pass from Jorginho on Tammy’s goal. Fabregas’esque and I don’t throw that around lightly. Totally stunned that they called a penalty later on his challenge to be honest. Also has to be said Ben Foster had some class saves today. Mount and Pulisic each could’ve had a brace on another day. +3

Still think he's been outstanding this year. Doesn't do much that'll get in the box score as we say in the States but influences the game in a lot of other ways. With the ball at his feet he's as good as anyone we've got. He could actually stand to press the ball up the pitch more as talented as he is. And he's playing full matches now where last year it seemed like he was a 60 minute player. Glad we signed him.

I'm excited. Is anyone else excited? Wow what a performance talk about a kid who was determined to make a mark today.

Still buzzing from the result today but we had every right to give up another goal from a corner kick. Has to be said...WTF are we doing in training? Such an obvious weakness from this squad.

I know it was Newcastle but I'm bullish on this squad. Still with a bunch of key players injured. Love this infusion of youth they all just seem so passionate about the results. Look at Tammy celebrating after the Alonso goal. Love it...come on you Blues!!!
