  1. I know that we scored a goal from a cross but we need to start playing another way. We rely on James and Chilwell waaay too much.
  2. I think teams have clocked how we play and they block the wing to make us ineffective. If we can't use the wing, then we're almost useless. I suggest everyone to watch the game carefully and check how many times we actually play combination football in the middle. You'll be shocked, because all we do is pass to the wing and hope someone puts a good cross in.
  3. Our whole playstyle revolves around using width and using our fullbacks and wingers. We never play combination football in the middle, it's frustating.
  4. Premier League's refs are a joke, whats new? Even the Dutch commentator is fuming with the ref right now lol
  5. Roy Hodgson is a boss, underrated midtable manager
  6. You should apply context and understand where I'm coming from. I dont expect us to close the gap on the Liverpool team we faced last season but do I expect us to close the gap on the injured Liverpool side we're facing now? Hell yes. I'm not naive enough to believe we'll get 90+ points but I don't think Liverpool will get those kind of numbers. So based on that I believe we should challenge and close the gap.
  7. Our projected points based on how we started the season is definitely not 90 points mate, the same goes for Spurs. I think we'll get 75-85 points and thats me being generous, if Spurs get the same and finish above us then you have to question your manager rookie or not. In this hectic season, it's very easy to understand that no one except for Liverpool(who've done it before) can get 90+ points.
  8. I expected us to finish close the top, because we invested enormous amount of money and we finished fourth last year. Seeing as Lampard had more time to fine tune his tactics and also added so much quality to his side, it's only normal for us to do much better. Lampard can still turn things around, all I'm talking about is what'll happen at the end of the season.
  9. Closing the gap on Liverpool and the other title contenders was the objective this season. Top four was our objective last season and Lampard has passed the test. Now he has to challenge for the title, especially when the circumstances have changed dramatically. Liverpools whole squad is injured, City is in shambles and we have to take the opportunity this season. If Spurs do and actually win or finish above us, then the progression is not enough. Do people really think we'll easily win the league next year? VVD, Gomez and even more players will be fit for Liverpool. They might even add more WC players to their squad. City will probably invest more than 200m and sign the likes of Haaland, Messi etc. I have no belief that a team who can't finish above Spurs this season can all of sudden challenge against a fully fit Liverpool team and a transformed Man City team.
  10. It's very easy to say all of this after the season has started. Where did you expect us to finish compared to Spurs before the season started? I can guarantee that you did not predict that Spurs will finish above Chelsea this season. Now if you believed all of this how come you didn't believe so before the season started?
  11. That's near to impossible and it's not going to happen. Instead of using fiction use a logical estimation of how many points Spurs and Chelsea are going to get. Assuming we get 75-80 points and Spurs do as well but finish above us then yes Lampard should get sacked.
  12. I know he is a rookie but since when did we accept this at Chelsea? We're still a big club, we're not Liverpool who've finished 8th for the past two decades, that's what people have to understand. When you spend so much in the transfer market you can atleast expect us to finish above Spurs ffs.
  13. Arsenal have a worse squad than Spurs so that would be even worse. I'm talking about a team in Spurs that finished 6th last season, haven't spent near the amount of money we spent and are the possible better team than us. How's that acceptable? Come with factual arguments instead of using the Mourinho card. If Spurs finish above us then Lampard has to be questioned and sacked. I don't see how there is any discussion about it.
  14. How is it acceptable that Spurs have made much more of a progression under Mou with less talent and much lower investment in the market? We signed much better players and Lampard had more time than Mourinho. It's unacceptable in my opinion, Spurs finishing above us at the end of the season is a sackable offense.
  15. I'm already hearing excuses of Everton "turning up" against us or it being "one of those" days. The fact of the matter is we weren't strong mentally and we barely created legit goalscoring chances. If Reece and Chilly have an off day we're fucked, and that's what was the most surprising. We couldn't even score against a Everton side that had so many injuries, it's just unacceptable.
  16. The lads are weak mentally, and it showed today. That's why I'm expecting a top four battle from now on. I had high hopes for us to challenge for the title this season, but reality hit us hard today.
  17. The way he played had nothing to do with his position. He had a horrible first touch, pass and football iq today. I don't want to hear any excuses.
  18. We're 100% not title contenders. This match confirmed it.
  19. The fact that no subs have been made scares me.
  20. Just when you start to trust Giroud, he plays like this smh. He really disappointed Frank today.
  21. It feels like we are playing with 10 men with Havertz in the side. I hope Lampard makes quick substitutions and brings on Tino Anjorin for Kai. I don't care what it'll do to his confidence, we need to get the 3 points!
  22. Havertz is a liability he needs to be brought off at half time.
  23. What was Mendy thinking by the way? Awful goalkeeping. We're literally making this hard on ourselves for no reason.
