wish we sold him when he was still worth 35m+ back in 13/14
-
that's exactly what i would have put out as well, good lineup. this will be a good test for Baba.
-
Inb4 he plays Ramires RB
-
I really disagreed at the time but damn, Nike was spot on when he said Thiago > Cesc.
-
Man. I really wish we signed Sanchez when we could. 30m for him was such a steal
-
Yeah, I was watching the game today, can`t believe how much he`s improved on his first touch. The finish was excellent as well.
-
Are we really calling the man who won the CL with Porto, won the treble with Inter Milan and won the title with us 3 times a fool? It's just a bad run of form, guys
-
that wasn't even the main point in my post, the fact that you and others were going way OTT is what annoyed me
-
Dortmund's 15/16 season was a terrible one. He started just like we are and he finished just like some of you guys think we might (not saying you in specific haha). Why would you want him?
-
Show some class. The WHOLE TEAM (not one person is an exception here) has been terribly out of form. Anyone calling him names is fickle, especially if they're completely disregarding the impact he had on us last season. Lets see what you guys will be saying about him when he returns to form? If you're so ready to give up on him already, I don't even know what to say. Support through thick and thin, brothers
-
I don't think sacking Mourinho right now would be the best choice - give him until January, I say. Even at this early point of the season, I don't think we're going to finish at the top, so what's the worst that could happen? If stability is truly what we're after then the man who's won the title thrice with us deserves until January. He OBVIOUSLY wants to stay here, and if Abramovich talks to Jose about the teams playstyle I don't understand why he wouldn't change it. I think what we really need to do is get rid of deadwood and for the meantime use our academy, the likes of Baker/RLC/Solanke are definitely ready, willing, and able and more importantly infinitely better than Ramires/Mikel/Falcao/Cuadrado etc.

Cahills fault

That's a pen all day long.

Dave is the GOAT
-
Great support guys
-
he's not worth a penny over 25m
-
nooooooo why did you point that out
-
What I meant when I said that is that he's not WORTH that much money, just like Sterling isn't WORTH 50m. I was merely making a point at how fucked the transfer system has become, with players like Firmino going for 30m etc. etc.
-
Cuadrado would have likely gone for around the same price even if he was average during the world cup, he doesn't have enough marketability to warrant a much higher price (unfortunately this is now a big factor in signings...) and James Rodriguez was basically the posterboy of the world cup, he had everyone's attention. He was flavor of the month, so obviously Real Madrid would be there to overpay for him. Which they did, by a looott (15-20m). My bad about the Mikel situation, honestly at the time I was a bit too young to know much about football. KDB WANTED to leave, and he wasn't getting any first team football anyway. Mata WANTED to leave, he also wasn't getting first team football. Salah is shit. Schurrle was deemed not good enough and Wolfsburg made a very good offer (25m I believe?). I'm convinced he would still have been here if it wasn't for their terrific offer.
-
Mata and Luiz were sold for much more than they were worth. Could you honestly have predicted that we could have sold them for 40m and 50m respectively? Another thing, Mata and Luiz performed well for us (Luiz's performances dropped slightly in the 13/14 season but he had still put his name on the radar), much better than Oscar anyway. You're putting far too much significance on national team performances. If Costa performed as poorly for us as he does for Spain he would have been a benchwarmer at best. What does Mikel playing for Nigeria have to do with anything?
-
You could use those points for Torres as well. Still doesn't mean he's worth a lot of money. Him simply playing and winning medals doesn't mean anything, if that was the case Mikel would be worth 30m+.
-
He's hardly worth 20m as he's not played well enough to warrant being worth more than that? The difference between him and Sterling is that Sterling is 3 years younger, English, and was a major part of Liverpools season last year, whereas Oscar really hasn't offered much in the last 2-3 seasons. If anyone offered us more than 25m I'd snatch their hand off.
-
calm down, he's hardly worth 20m
-
imo based on the last few seasons the best strikers in the world are (in no particular order) costa suarez aguero ronaldo higauin (keep in mind that he's playing for a significantly weaker team)
