  1. It's QPR, you know. When he played against Swansea, he couldn't do a thing. The important thing is, at the moment we're 7 points ahead of United, 6 points ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool, and 5 points ahead of City. If we don't fuck up ourselves, the league is ours and it doesn't matter how others play. We just need to keep winning and no one will be able to do a thing. Granted, it's not easy to keep winning, but the point is we already have a good gap over all other top teams and the gap is ours to lose(or rather not to lose). United&Liverpool&Arsenal can battle it out for the 3&4th place for all I care.
  2. This isn't even championship form from QPR. They're not even trying. Now watch everyone wank over United.
  3. Yeah, I would like to give all of them rest, but it's probably not possible and Jose might not do it. It's likely we'll see almost our usual starting XI(+Luis, - Ivan) with Costa, Fabregas and Matic taken off as soon as possible if we're winning.
  4. In 2002-03 he had a good enough team to win it. The team wasn't much worse than Juventus's and certainly shouldn't have finished 11 points behind them. After the 8-point penalty due to the Calciopoli Scandal, the team clearly struggled, but it was still good enough to perform better than it did. I mean, this was the first team: Dida-Cafu,Nesta,Maldini,Jankulovski-Gattuso, Pirlo,Ambrosini-Kaka, Seedorf- Inzaghi The defence was good enough and Nesta was still amazing, the midfield wasn't in decline yet.(Pirlo -27, Ambrosini - 29, Gattuso -28, Kaka - 24, Seedorf -30). They certainly should have done better than finish 36 points behind Inter, and behind Roma and Lazio. That was just disgrace. I mean this is the team that was good enough to beat Bayern, United and Liverpool and win the CL. My point is, Ancelotti is not a very good League manager. He's an excellent cup manager, though.
  5. I've supported Milan in Serie A for years and watched almost every match back in Ancelotti era. Yes, there were problems, but he had a very good squad that had no problems winning matches convincingly in the CL but often struggled to perform consistently on a weekly basis. The squad was good enough to win at least a few league titles, IMO.
  6. Precisely. He's a cup manager. He's always done well with Milan in the CL, but struggled in the league even though Milan had a ridiculously good squad that was capable of winning the league almost every season.
  7. I liked our midfield in the second half. Matic-Fabregas-Ramires seems to be our best midfield provided Ramires shows some restraint and holds back to help out Matic in defence when needed and let Cesc go forward to link up with Eden and Oscar/Willian.
  8. While I do agree that Ozil should be played in his best position, a truly great player should be able to make a difference anyway. You think it's easy for Fabregas to play in the midfield two where he hadn't played for 7 years? He clearly feels more comfortable in 4-3-3 or even as #10(the two positions he played for the majority of his career), yet he doesn't complain like Ozil and contributes in every game. IMO, you can't excuse Ozil's poor performance only because he was shifted to the wing. Ozil plays like he doesn't give a shit about anything.
  9. Yeah, I was always of the opinion Kroos and James were luxury signings for them and not what they actually needed. Defensively Kroos is very weak. Don't break what's not broken, ffs.
  10. Gunners have a short memory. He never really flopped in the second half of the season for Arsenal--he just had a lot of injuries. In fact, in 2009-2010, he carried them until April (receiving 5 MOTM awards only in the second half of the season) before getting injured and missing the rest of the season. Arsenal were only 3 points behind us at this point. After Cesc's injury, they finished 11 points behind. They should refresh their memory.
  11. Costa, Fabregas, Matic, Ivanovic - maybe, but I think Hazard will play. He didn't have any international games, so he pretty much rested & trained for 2 weeks.
  12. He's right, though. As he says, it doesn't matter who scores, who assists, they're a team. As long as we're winning, I don't care who's scoring or assisting. Though winding up Arsenal fans is always nice.
  13. The best thing about Costa is he's always in the right place in the right time -- the sign of a truly great striker.
  14. Now that's something to be proud of. Had a great game today, along with Costa and Eden. Most touches, most passes, 6 key passes, 94% pass completion, 2 assists. Sometimes still have trouble believing he plays for us, but he already looks like he's been in our team forever. And the hair is finally decent. That Cesc&Eden linkup. Great team goal.
  15. He deserved a goal today, but if he keeps playing like that, I won't even care if he doesn't score or assist much. Great performance by Eden!
  16. I also wanted to say that almost the entire team was tidy with their passing today. No so many silly misplaced passes as against Everton. I think we should play our second half formation&players in the next game.
  17. My MOTMs: Costa, Cesc, Eden. Costa was clinical and awesome, but I actually loved Cesc&Eden link up better. So fucking good.
  18. Draw is the best result for us. Both team lose points.
  19. Now I hope neither team scores. 1-1 would be great.
  20. Alexis sucked at crosses at Barcelona too. His final ball isn't all that great despite the amount of assists he got at Barcelona.
  21. Ozil isn't actually too slow to play on the wing. Iniesta and Silva can play on the wing well despite not being speed monsters. Ozil is not too slow. He's too lethargic to play there. There's a difference.
  22. Personally, I don't want Arsenal to win this. It would give them confidence against big teams. A draw really would be perfect.
