  1. Yep. The team's top scorer and third in the league last season is such a liability.
  2. What I hate about Arsenal are the fans and Wenger. I quite like most of the squad though.
  3. Costa's was about off when he was subbed as well. If we would have lost, Jose would have blown up on the kit man for his shoddy job
  4. I was just pointing out that you win games (and the title) by scoring more goals than the opposition. I was just messing with the poster. I know what he meant. But, we did score more goals than the opposition last year. 41 more goals, so maybe using a different term to describe it would be better.
  5. Sadly, this is why I think it'll be Ivanovic-Cahill-Zouma-Azpilicueta. I don't think Jose would want to completely shuffle up the defense.
  6. Too bad his memory is wrong. 1-1 with Bari
  7. Hope this means no more Willian at RW
  8. Jose is anyone but someone who buys for long term success. No, Fabregas isn't what he was at for Arsenal, but that was 4 years ago and he has done better here than he did at Barca. Will he ever be what he was early last season? We don't know, but he was important to our success last year, so I consider that a good buy. I agree with the Costa point, but I will say that when he is on the field, he's usually a difference maker. Not so far this season, but we're just 1/19th through the season. There's still a few players that could go either way, depending on how you look at it, but those two stuck out to me.
  9. What about Costa, our top scorer, and Fabregas, the top assists in the league.
  10. So, no one knows anything for sure and will make up whatever they want when he's signed. Sounds about right.
  11. I hate seeing this. Not because I disagree, because the truth hurts. We all received Jose back thinking he had changed and learned from his time at Inter and Real. Just like getting back together with and ex, you hope everything will be all good and the mistakes from the past will be reconciled. But the writing is on the wall. Jose is unhappy and it is affecting he team. I'm hoping it's not that, as we don't know what really goes on behind the scenes. Hopefully it's just a rough start to the season and everyone comes together.
  12. I think they wore the black one in another game against them. Same as in 2011/12. I just think it'd be weird to go all the way into September without releasing the third kit, but maybe everything got pushed back because of the change of sponsor.
  13. Why not try Hazard as an AM/CF and get a proper left winger? Hazard cuts in and loves to use both feet to take on defenders. He has the best burst speed for it, so why not let him lose in the off center for some creativity?
  14. They also wear white shorts. Two seasons ago when we had the white away and black third, we wore the black third. Not that it is actually needed, but it may be preferred. It would make sense too. Release the kit around the same time and then play in it to get the most out of people that like how it looks.
  15. I wonder when the third kit will be officially released. The Champions League is about a month away, and we may need it around then for the Everton match.
  16. Normally I would, but we don't know how much training he'll get in before the match. If he trains all week, I'd make the switch.
  17. Exactly. I'm a Dortmund supporter and we were all absolutely gutted when we lost Götze. He was a star, and a star from the youth at that. CMS, you want to compare the selling of Mata and Götze, Mata hasn't been setting United on fire either.
  18. The officiating has let Bournemouth down. It was a very soft foul on the disallowed goal and that Liverpool goal was definitely offside according to the new rules.
  19. Great start from Bournemouth. Silence those northern mugs.
  20. FFP is what we kept hearing about last year, and all was good when we were winning the title. Wonder if we would have had the restrictions dropped like City did... I thought the idea was that Roman was going to finance the stadium so that our transfer activity wouldn't be affected. Maybe it was just a nice idea rather than an actual plan?
  21. I completely agree with that. The difference is Mourinho didn't want to rotate nearly as much as City do. If my memory serves correctly, Mourinho was not planning on rotating Mata. He was going to sit him until he turned into the player he wanted.
  22. But neither wanted to be anything but a starter, and Jose wasn't willing to do that. It would be nice to have a bench full of great players, but great players don't want to sit on the bench.
