  1. Does England lose a spot if United, Arsenal and Chelsea go out and juventus and Roma go through?
  2. Refs aren't blatantly robbing us. They're just decisions that didn't go out way when they could. Every team deals with this. I can't believe you said Hazard isn't good enough for our club. He's been one of the best players in the world and is currently slumping. We have had some bad luck but we deserved to lose to Liverpool and were never in the City match. The Tottenham draw was deserved as well. I agree with lack of leadership and I think this is singlehandedly the biggest problem. Reliable Leadership in management as well as amongst the players. Attacking players have a primary job of attacking and focusing on the attack in order to score. Defensive work is secondary. Their focus should be with attack. I expect them to track back and defend but to say an attacking player should make defense primary and attack secondary is foolish. The youth is one of the most talented squads in the world. They are not lacking in talent at all. They're just not experienced in senior team action. They can't get that without match time, something they're not getting.
  3. He won titles at all but one stop in SA before going to Europe. He got Real Madrid to their highest point total, losing by 3 points to a Barcelona team that's considered one of the best in history. He got Malaga to their highest ever point total and took them to fourth and getting a Champions League spot.
  4. You're still not giving the manager credit for winning and giving him blame for losing.
  5. I wouldn't exactly call Pellegrini and Mancini minnows. They've won plenty of titles.
  6. The team is largely unchanged from last season, so if money won the title, money caused this problem as well. If Mourinho won the title, he also caused this problem. If the players won the title, they're also to blame for what's going on. It's not fair to say money won the title last season, not Mourinho, but he's to blame for what's going on now.
  7. A lot of Mourinho supporters I've seen have changed their tune recently. Instead of steadfast support, they're now supporting the clubs decision, whatever they choose. My biggest point is who will realistically take over and make a difference. Ancelotti has said he would, but maybe the club don't want him back. Aside from that, will anyone leave mid-season to take over and make a real difference? If we make it into the round of 16 and win the FA Cup, it'll be a good salvage for this season. Mourinho may not be able to do it and someone else may, but I have full support for the board to make the decision because they have all the facts and the expertise. We don't. To the point of hatred, my entire time as a Chelsea supporter has been filled with hate. I have yet to meet a single non-Chelsea football fan that hasn't hated Chelsea. Rarely a kind word and if there is one, it's followed by a bad remark. It's something that will always exist, regardless of manager.
  8. IF a new manager comes in and the squad still has trouble getting results, will you blame the new manager as well, or will you start to look to the players as possible culprits? No doubt Mourinho has caused much of what's going on, but the players are underperforming on the pitch. If a new manager comes in, changes things up and the players still aren't getting the results, it's going to bring up interesting questions regarding who really cares in this team and what the hell happened. Ok, I'm done with hypotheticals for the day
  9. No, but to Fergie, he's seen it before and saw what happened when the club stood by its manager. It's not unreasonable for him, who's always had a good respectable relationship with Mourinho, to make a comment like that given what Fergie has done.
  10. What chances are you seeing? We're only ahead of Villa in terms of chances created from open play by 1 shot. That's right 19TH PLACE in the league. We're controlling the ball a lot more, but it's not leading to chances. It's leading to wasteful passes that turn into counter attacks for the other team.Edit: my mistake. That's goals scored, not shots. We're in 7th in shots per game, still behind most at the top.
  11. Doesn't the club get more money for qualifying for the round of 16 than winning the Europa League?
  12. And he dealt with the "sack fergie" in the beginning of his tenure.
  13. That's what scares everyone. Are we capable of bouncing back and being fine? My first reaction would say yes, but a lot of it is dependent on what happens in the offseason. If we have no problem signing talent, we'll be fine. If top players don't want a season away fromeurope and we have a few bad signings and a dodgy manager, we could be in trouble.
  14. Who would have thought this could be the biggest priority trophy for us this season? Could be our only shot at European play next season.
  15. Back on Mourinho and this mess, we could be in the bottom three by New Years. That's a massive problem. Dortmund were in this situation last season but were able to bounce back and grab a European spot. But it was done in an arguably weaker league. A lot of things must go right just to make any European competition next season. Where does that leave the club? There's players that are Chelsea through and through and will stay, but there are a number of players that will want to move on. Is this a quick dip that can be remedied next season (starting this season) or will it cause a shift in #1 priorities and #2 expectations, taking into consideration the financial implications of no Europe and a new stadium build on the way. I'm left with a ton of questions and no answers. Sacking Mourinho may be a blessing in terms of form, but there's a ton of damage that's been done already. Hypothetically, a new manage comes in and things don't improve. What then? Who is to blame? So we blow everything up and start new?
  16. Quit with the fanboy talk already. Not just you, everyone. If you want to stand by the most successful manager the club has ever had and give him time (not just a few months), you're more than right to do that. If you want the club to sack the manager that's seen the worst run in years, you're more than welcome to do that. This is the biggest crossroads the club has been at in a long time and there's reasons for both. Watering it down to a pissing match between online usernames that have no bearing on what will happen is useless.
  17. To be fair, if Azpilicueta needed the rest before Porto, sitting him for a less important Bournemouth game was the better decision. I still don't get how Fabregas is still playing, much less starting. Costa is shocking and Hazard is not a striker.
  18. Please no Courtois in the Porto game. He's been out for so long, they can't bring him back in such an important game.
  19. No North America for the tires!?!? Oh well. I just got new tires anyway.
  20. That design down the middle ruined it. I didn't mind the color for a third kit. The further we get away from the 07/08 away kit, the more I miss it. I hated it at the time, but give it the fit that players wear these days and I think it'd look good
  21. 07-08 away 08-09 third 09-10 away 10-11 third 14-15 away out of 20
  22. You won't get a revolution. You'll get more tiny evolutions. 40%-50%-60%-70%-80% and so on until everything is back to form. We'll start seeing a loss turn into a draw and a draw turning into a win here and there, until we're back to seeing the regular wins.
  23. It's that damn London weather that he doesn't like. Hope he had a good Spanish dinner since the food sucks as well
