  1. The article cited a rule where you can't play for 3 different clubs in a season. I don't remember exactly now, but if that's true, Pedro played in the Super Cup for Barca at the beginning of the season, making Barca his only possible destination if he's loaned out.
  2. There's a rumor that Chelsea are wanting to send Pedro back to Barca for a loan, reported by Sport.
  3. It's nice to not need another striker, but I have little faith for him to do anything. Besides filling a role, what's the point of signing someone who has been past it for a while now when we currently have two youth strikers in Bamford and Traorae that would be better served actually given a chance for once. Pato doesn't provide anything but a name and a cheap contract.
  4. He won't. I'm baffled by these transfers. I get that Falcao was a loan so little harm done, but why is the striker position such a problem for this team? I think it's because they're going after the power of names.
  5. Maybe, but if we have another bad season, what do you think Roman's reaction would be? Saving money or spending to win?
  6. He's off to LA to play with Slippy Gerrard. Poor Ash. He's not going to win another league title before retiring with Gerrard on his team.
  7. Wonder if us paying the FA to use their stadium will decrease the amount of fines they give us throughout the course of the season
  8. If they stand by that, it's just pure laziness on their part. There's shared stadiums/arenas around the world in many different sports. Chelsea home, Spurs away. Spurs home, Chelsea away. Simple
  9. To be fair, having an underdog team performing well doesn't always translate to being able to do better things with better players. I like Simeone and wouldn't complain about him coming to Chelsea. I'm just worried about a manager who hasn't spent any time in the Premier League and never had the money and expectations that come with managing Chelsea. Modern footballers are a finicky bunch and (without much paying attention to Atletico) can become a problem if they don't see eye to eye with the manager. I don't watch La Liga and don't pay much attention to Atletico, but I haven't seen how Simeone has dealt with problem players or problem situations.
  10. Courtois Ivan-Zouma-Terry-Azpi Ramires-Mikel Willian-Fabregas-Kenedy Costa if Costa isn't fit, start Hazard and move Kenedy to striker. The boy deserves a start.
  11. The new manager shine is wearing off. Time for Hiddink to do something Mourinho wouldn't do, because everything he's done has been something Mourinho could have done.
  12. We sing for legends, and while Mourinho is a legend, the wound of what's happened is still fresh. They aren't singing to pay homage like an Ossie or Lampard song. They are making the statement that they still side with Mourinho over the players. Regardless of your position on the matter, a match is neither the time nor the place to make that stand known when he's no longer a member of this club and things need to be done to get this team back on track.
  13. Aside from it looking like a pajama top, it's not a bad, but simple design. I think it'll look great on the TV because we may not see the little lions. I hated the 09-10 home shirt (the bra one) up close but it looked great on the pitch.
  14. I'm sure there is discord among the players right now anyway. I'm sure not all of the players wanted Jose gone and I'm sure there's players that are looking at others and dissatisfied with their level of effort. Anytime stars get in the kind of mess, there is going to be discord. I think one of the reasons Hiddink was brought in was to unify the dressing room. Just as he was in 2009 and RDM did in 2012.
  15. I wasn't expecting wholesale changes immediately. I'm sure Hiddink is doing his own analysis of the players. He's been in charge for all of one week. He needs more time with the players in order to see their work-rate in training and see how they all work during match days.
  16. Interesting in a horrifying nightmare kind of interesting
  17. Of all the things to complain about? It's so you don't get caught with a handball. It's smart.
  18. Don't take Klopp for granted yet. His "style" doesn't match the Liverpool players. He'll need time to either get them to play his style or get players that suit him. I wouldn't worry about Liverpool being title contenders this season, but next season could be a different story.
  19. By winning the league, FA Cup and Champions League? He's too old to keep unless we manage to do the impossible.
  20. Simeone also won a title with Atletico a couple seasons ago.
  21. You mean pass the ball around until the other team falls asleep? Possession hasn't helped this team at all this season. Mourinho has a philosophy as well. Lock down the defense and play on the counter. He went away from that this season and look what's happened. It's only negative if you're not winning. It's also foolish to accuse Mourinho of being a chequebook manager and not attribute that to Guardiola as well. Just look at the teams he's managed.
  22. "But, man, I fell on my hip in my soccer league and was fine! He's just being a baby!"
  23. It's hard to tell, mate. There's been plenty of this going around since the Leicester match. It's been a talking point for many people, not just including Chelsea supporters either. It doesn't help that he's our star player. It's a click-bait dream.
