Sometime you don't have to watch 5 seasons of each player to see who is better...if Costa is that good, 30m worth player then why is he not even considered for Brazil squad? Willian, Hulk...etc all got into that squad during their days at Porto, Sharkta. Cuadrado on the other hand is a regular starter for possibly one of the strongest Colombia squad in their history. He even got into the team 1st ahead of James a few years ago, that shows how talented he is. Yep one is considered top 10 player in Serie A by many pundits, journalists and one is not even talked about or linked with anyone big in Europe until now. Costa is not even linked with a barely above mediocre team like Dortmund, Liverpool, Spurs...etc while Cuadrado is chased by MU and Barca last summer before his new contract. These things help contribute to showing who is CONSIDERED the better player. Personally I never said Cuadrado is a must sign, but it appears Schurrle/Salah is leaving so naturally we should get the best replacement possible and he appears to be just that.

Apparently being lazy and a cuntish attitude doesn't help too then there is that unspoken conflict with Courtois over gf issue(resolved but bitterness might still be there). Agree with your post though.

Bale is not going anywhere soon, on course for another 20 goals this season. Bayern would most likely try to sign Reus instead of Hazard and if they do they are kinda set for the next 5 years at least on the LW as well. Barcelona is a no unless Neymar breaks his leg or something.

The only reason Reus is wanted so much is because he is popular as a player, as a person and that release clause of 20m kind of seal the deal. Who wouldn't want that handsome, talented guy in their team and couple with that bargain price of 20m making it seems like the obvious choice. Of course his recent injuries took the gloss off a bit for some people, but many are still attached to him. Also it is natural about Cuadrado and Costa, it is like saying we should be going for a Ferrari(Reus) instead of a Porsche(Cuadrado) but then since the Porsche is too expensive let just go for a Toyota(Costa) instead. While Willian and Mkhitaryan got hyped during their time in Ukraine, no one really heard of this guy until he scored a couple of amazing goals in CL this season. Before then he is just a OK player in 99% people's eye and still is just that for me. Cuadrado at least got the WC to show his class, this guy no one has seen before apart from a couple of CL and even then doubt anyone watch Sharkta play in there. Lastly, the price as I mentioned above play a huge factor as well. I mean if we are considering paying 30m for Costa, might as well make it 35m for Cuadrado who seems like an obviously better player. If Costa was 15m that would have been a different story.
