I agree!We pretty much wasted our window chasing Rooney and in the end signing players that we didnt need.The common thought was that even if we didnt sign rooney we would cause disruption in their dressing room and would unsettle one of their star players but by the looks of things instead of unsettling him we just fired him up even more.

I believe playing Oscar in the pivot will help us with our tempo problem imo.

I would rest him for the games against fulham and swindon and start him against spurs.I think that game would suit him a lot as there would be a lots of space for him to work his magic.

I think we have to try Oscar in the pivot with mata as the attacking midfielder and see how that goes.

Completely agree.He is coming from a new league to a new team and expectations are very high.He needs playing time to improve and develop and this is where the problem starts because Jose prefers Lampard to MVG and Marco is clearly 4th in the midfield pecking order.

This!I was so sure that this summer we would finally add a world class midfielder like moutinho,witsel or De Rossi to the team but nope,jose is happy with essien and 35 year's old lampard who nowadays offers us absolutely nothing except some goals here and there.

In mata's case not playing regularly is the problem.
