  1. my sopcast aint working either, says page cannot be displayed, it's driving me insane beyond belief.
  2. well Paul Merson says were playing very well that that's what we'll have to go on i guess lol. By far the better team. I think theres a link on TVANTS but i can't read japanese to work out how to download the poxy thing. EDIT: That link aint working for me
  3. Cole hasn't done much wrong for England. Bridge has had some dodgy games tho for England, he was very dodgy against the Scroats. I feel more comfertable with Cole in the England first XI. Prefer wayno for Chelsea tho because i think he suits our play better.
  4. I don't have a favourite second team really, i used to watch kingstonian a lot because it was cheap as chips (literally) and is only 40 mins walk down my road, but the AFC Wimbledon/Kingstonian thing is a joke. I always look at the old prem teams, like QPR, Palace, Sheff Weds etc, i like seeing teams that were in the prem when i started watching football do well for some reason. Abroad, i follow PSG and Borussia Dortmund closely because i had their shirts when i was younger. My uncle works for Nike and sent random shirts to me. I liked those teams anyway. In 1997, Dortmund won the UCL, they knocked Man Utd out along the way so they were always a team i liked, plus the colour of their kit, i loved it when i was young. PSG were good in france, they were the top team by far and i liked watching them play. I look out for Rangers too of course.
  5. they'll (Newcastles board) be more sympathetic for keegan as they were for Allardyce. They'll give him longer because of who he is and what he means to Newcastle United Football Club and the fans. He'll get 2 seasons i think, but it wont change anything. They'll still be trophyless, useless and well....... crap
  6. Blimey, that's insane. I can't actually believe that, he did all he could possibly do for them, thats why he left last time. Now he's taking it again. Well i wish him luck because i like him, but he's got a horrible job imo. needs at least 2 years in charge, thats minimum, no 8 month bullshit. i understand he wants to help and get newcastle stable again and back into europe, but he's in for a rough ride.
  7. i thought that too, but we don't need him regardless if he's a winger or a central midfielder.
  8. i hope and think Ivory coast will win it. They have great players but its gonna be one hell of a tournament. Can't wait for it, should be interesting. Maybe the closest one in history. How can Zambia, Guinea, Namibia, Zambia, Sudan and Benin qualify inteat of Togo? Group D looks the group of death. (Might aswell post this again on this thread) Group A Ghana Morocco Guinea Namibia Fixtures 20/01/08: Ghana v Guinea, Accra 21/01/08: Namibia v Morocco, Accra 24/01/08: Guinea v Morocco, Accra 24/01/08: Ghana v Namibia, Accra 28/01/08: Ghana v Morocco, Accra 28/01/08: Guinea v Namibia, Sekondi Group B Nigeria Ivory Coast Mali Benin Fixtures 21/01/08: Nigeria v Ivory Coast, Sekondi 21/01/08: Mali v Benin, Sekondi 25/01/08: Ivory Coast v Benin, Sekondi 25/01/08: Nigeria v Mali, Sekondi 29/01/08: Nigeria v Benin, Sekondi 29/01/08: vory Coast v Mali, Accra Group C Egypt Cameroon Zambia Sudan Fixtures 22/01/08: Egypt v Cameroon, Kumasi 22/01/08: Sudan v Zambia, Kumasi 26/01/08: Cameroon v Zambia, Kumasi 26/01/08: Egypt v Sudan, Kumasi 30/01/08: Egypt v Zambia, Kumasi 30/01/08: Cameroon v Sudan, Tamale Group D Tunisia Senegal South Africa Angola Fixtures 23/01/08: Tunisia v Senegal, Tamale 23/01/08: South Africa v Angola, Tamale 27/01/08: Senegal v Angola, Tamale 27/01/08: Tunisia v South Africa, Tamale 31/01/08: Tunisia v Angola, Tamale 31/01/08: Senegal v South Africa, Kumasi
  9. and in between them, Luton 1-1 Livershit. Going great for them aint it. Knowing them, they'll probs go and with the champions fucking league.
  10. I don't think we need anyone else. I don't know where we are weakened atm, with a fully fit squad, it will be impossible to control if we get iniesta too. no need.
  11. 2003/2004 Birmingham 0-0 Chelsea 2004/2005 Birmingham 0-1 Chelsea (and we were very lucky that day) 2005/2006 Birmingham 0-0 Chelsea Tight games, will be close and will be tough. I think a draw but we could also win 1 or 2-0. Its a hard one to predict. Depends how lucky they get.
  12. Carling cup is still well in the Ballance, 4 good premiership teams still very much involved, no ties are over yet. Would love to see us at wembley again tho. Chelsea - Yido final. Prem, well 4 points behind, long way to go. We might win it, we might not. Still too early, we're doing great to stay in contention tho. FA Cup, just started really. All the top 4 are still in, some other decent sides too. Nothing to suggest we'll win this yet. Champs League, Just past the group stage, should knock Olympiakos out and progress to the quarters, after that, it's down to a lot of luck and there are the best teams in europe involved.Anyone can beat anyone. the UCL is a lottery pretty much. All in all, waaaaay to early. Only the Carling cup has progressed to a latish stage. Yes we're in it but so are 3 other good cup teams.
  13. Pizarro injured, oh well poor guy aint gonna play anyway
  14. nah it wont be like that lol, no chance. Be Black with white adidas stripes down the sleeve and whatever gets added. That'll be the basics. EDIT: (because i dont double post) Like the look of that shirt, Pretty cool style, again tho, debatable that it will be the actual shirt. Be cool tho.
  15. poor bastards, imagine being compared to Avram Grant.
  16. k i'm probs gonna talk a lot of shit now, but here goes............. We are as popular as the mancs, tire thieves and goons, mainly because since abramovich bought us, we've been a major force in English football. 2 Titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 Carling Cups, 2 UCL Semi Finals and a Charity Shield. We haven't finished outside the top 2 since 2002-2003. Champions league 5 years in a row. Richest Club in England (cept QP-HA now ), we tour the USA and Korea. We're now a franchise rather than just a football club. Jose Mourinho helped too of course . I guess thats why we're bigger than we were. We have always been a pretty big club tbh, but the last 5 years has been the key for us being a lot bigger than we have been. Before that, we had Ruud Gullit, then we atracted stars like Vialli, Zola, Di Matteo, Leboeuf, Desailly ETC, some of the greatest names ever. We were always fairly big, Gullit and his signings made us bigger, Roman and his money + Players & Jose made us massive. Chelsea has always had a great tradition tho. P.S We don't have a blue flag, we have a Blue & White Checkered one they need to change it to all blue because it just doesn't work with the song (it's quite nice tho ).
  17. agree with all you said, i have the same feeling about us winning the title and there is a lot of crazy stuff guaranteed to happen from now to the end of the season too. If we're still in contention by the time everyones back, damn its gonna get exciting, can see a blue power surge happening. Feels a bit like 1998/1999 all over again.
  18. He's far from lazy, he actually does too much, he plays like a midfielder, too deep to actually get any real chances. He's never in there. I wish he would let the midfielders do their jobs and focus on his own, which currently stands as 'Striker'
  19. well the french teams seem to have a different kit for every competition, i noticed a couple of years back some team (can't remember who) had a different shirt for europe, the domestic cups and the league. Crazy really. Might have been PSG. Even Sevilla have a different one for Europe.
  20. In a diamond with 1 other midfielder and 2 up top it could work. Would limit the width tho and we rely a lot on wide men.
  21. i know it sounds wrong, but having Drogba, Essien, Lampard and Terry unavailable hasn't been as bad as first feared. Replacing Drogba = Sheva played well a few weeks back, we still created chances and he scored a few. Now we have Anelka who at the top end of the pitch, is just as lethal, if not, more so. Just Drogba's all round game is superior. Replacing Essien = SWP has been great lately, Malouda is back, we have many many options in the midfield area, the 4-3-3 is a perfect solution when there's no Essien. Makelele himself was absolutely brilliant on Saturday in essiens spot, he's still got it. Replacing Lampard = Ballack. He looks a different player without Lampard, he's taken every match by the scruff of the neck and he's dominated and controlled them. He's been fautless since coming back from injury. Replacing Terry = Well carvalho coming back was a huge boost, but the form of Alex has been outstanding. He's taken his chance and not put a foot wrong and hes getting better all the time. Again.....Magnificent on Saturday. Our problem's arent what they seem. Maybe these unavailable players are a blessing in disguise, all our players have played well with each other in big games and came through with flying colours. When we get injuries in the future, there's nothing to worry about.
  22. well you know Lampard will walk back into the team because of who he is, Essien will probably walk back into the team too, Ballack must surely stay in there because he's controlled every game since lamps' injury and he's been fantastic. There's so many decisions to be made, even up front when drogs gets back, Anelka and Drogs or just one? If both, then we can only pick one player out of all the rest of our midfielders to play. headache for avram
  23. well the deal was finalised yesterday, that was january so maybe thats all that matters. He'll probs stay there anyway.
  24. nah, this could definitely be a game we slip up on, this will no way be easy. We don't tend to play well there and they are not a bad team atm. Yes, a win is imperative but i can see this being a very frustrating draw, either 0-0 or 1-1. On paper, yeah we should win, but it's not always as easy as that.
  25. I like it, buts its only a mock up. It will be different. Nice tho.
