Hope pompey win (whole English thing and dont exactly like the welsh) but if Jimmy belts in an unstoppable 25 yard screamer to win it, i wont be dissappointed, saying that......2 teams i dont give a toss about so dont really care. I believe Purses tackle deserved to be recinded btw, it was just badly timed and it wasnt the 2 footed studs up challenge, it was just his shin taking down the other guy at speed. This whole welsh/english stuff is a disgrace tho. If they are in the English tournaments/league, they should be solely owned by the English FA, end of story. They are an English club, playing in wales. The whole thing honestly is a joke.

On-pitch moment of the season: Lampards Penalty vs Liverpool Off-pitch moment of the season: Jose's departure Player who must not be sold: Because of the rumours, Lampard. Players like cech and JT will never go but there are question marks over Franky and Drogs. Greatest goal: Malouda vs Newcastle Most embarrassing moment: The defeat to Barnsley in the FA Cup. Effect of manager's shopping: In general they have been decent without setting the world alight. The season in five words: tough, inconsistant, unlucky, resiliant, dogid Five-point action plan for the summer: 1) Appoint a new manager 2) Sort out Franks Contract 3) Get rid of the duffers 4) Buy who we need, don't worry about the money, just get the right men in no matter what it takes. 5) suss out the best formation, work on the 4-4-2.

Cheers for the reminder, i completely forgot about it but i'll probably watch Leeds - Carlisle mainly as its got the makings of being a bit of a classic. I'll definitely flick around the channels and see how this battle of britain's oldies are gettin on. Matches between England and Scotland appear to have died recently which is a shame. Always great battles.
-
They certainly finished the job off in style even tho they went 1-0 down. I was flicking between the Uefa cup final and this but when i saw Watford had scored i watched a bit more of it. Watford have had a decent away season so it mightve been tricky but in all fairness, they have been awful in the last 3 months and i'm happy they are not at wembley. Hull scored 2 late and won 4-1 in the end. Bristol City and Hull both deserve to be there and i'm really happy its the final. Championship Playoff Final Saturday 24th May 2008 Bristol City vs Hull City Should be a Belter. Its the kind of game that i dont mind who wins because neither were expected to really come up anyway.

Deserved result. Rangers are a boring shite team who out of their 19 European games have probably failed to score in 10 of them. They have drawn 0-0 in their last 3 or 4 home games and created no chances what so ever in the final. Crap. Zenit were the bestv team in the tournament and thoroughly deserved their win. Also they were a Uefa cup original, not a 3rd place champions league side. Next season they will be in the champions league and they will cause problems.
-
If i was a Celtic fan, i would want Zenit to win also lol. Rivalry never goes. If Rangers win, they will be on all Celtic fans cases for a while. When Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd play in Europe, i always go for the other team, even if they are israeli or turkish. Jealousy no, hate yes.

I feel sorry for Palace, they were the better team yesterday but in Extra Time, there seemed to be only one winner and they were the team that prevailed. Looks a Hull - Bristol City final and i would back Hull out of the 2. Watford are dreadful, they should be 4-0 down already on agg but i feel the agg could finish 5-0 anyway. Whoever comes up out of the 3, they are going back down anyway. Hull's stadium/pitch will invite the big teams to play. We lost to Barnsley on a shit pitch in the FA Cup, Barnsley finished near the relegation places. Hull came 3rd and what happened in the CC when we went away to them? We won 4-0.
-
I fear for Rangers in this actually. They have majorly riden their luck in the competition and i feel this final will be a step too far. I hope they dont get humiliated tho. Would be amazing to see Rangers win and we win next week to set up the Rangers vs Chelsea Super Cup. I wish rangers the best of luck but i believe they have already used their luck. 3-0 Zenit.
-
As a neutral, its brilliant. I'm not using any biased views. I'm looking at the season in a neutral stance. Its been an amazing season, end of story. As a Chelsea fan, the Barnsley result was the biggest disaster since watching us compete in the Uefa cup, but as a neutral, its what ppl love football for.

Its about time someone else won that league. I dunno how you can be vaguely excited about a league which has had the same champions for 7 years straight and only Lyon in god knows how long have even almost competed with teams in the UCL. Its almost as bad as the Scotish league, but tbh this seasons its been actually very exciting. Die Bundesliga is better than Ligue un where 4 or 5 teams can compete for the league. Must say tho, the standard is a lot poorer than in previous years.

Its such a terrible thing, i lost my cat Oscar last week who ive had for 14 years, i was 7 when i got him. He had a tumour, the vets said that they could sort it, i paid £800 and my mum paid £500 all together so it came to £1300 to try and save his life and on Bank holiday monday, we was laying dead on the carpet so it was all in vein Seems as tho he died of starvation as he couldnt eat. One of the worst and sasddest days of my life. My sympathies are with you as i know just how bad it feels. RIP Scratch. They really are family members The possitive is that we gave them great lives and as the saying goes, one life ends as another life begins (or something within those lines)

Its been a fantastic season. If it was weak, it wouldve been the same old stuff again like all prem teams in the last 8 of both domestic cups, either Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal in the FA Cup final etc etc. Ok so Barnsleys little run was at our expense but they are a football team too and shouldnt just be taken for granted like they are a group of nobodies. The unpredictable seasons are great fun. Barnsley won at Anfield ffs. Its brilliant. The prem being won by the least amount of points for a while says nothing either, just means it was tougher rather than being weaker, in 2004, Arsenal went unbeaten. In 2005, Chelsea lost just one. Thats what you call a weak premiership. No-one got everything their own way this season. 87, 85, 83....Thats probably the closest and toughest race since 98/99, great stuff. Look at everyone going nuts over Man Utd's home form. What was it, 1 defeat, 2 draws and 16 wins? well what about our home form in 05/06. 18 wins and 1 draw (Marcus Bent you fucker). You cant beat that (well technically you can ) 2 points dropped! Seems as tho sky and all pundits around the world forgot that one.

Cool, ive added all my stuff. Bebo i dont actually use any more because its crap but i added my addy anyway. My youtube with all my 20-odd Chelsea games and my facebook i very much still use tho and they have been added nice one jimmy.
-
I'll be in it all the way next season. I stopped because i missed a few games and just thought 'fuck it' Its the best comp we have. In the Line up one, theres always 5-7 names guarranteed and in the prediction one, everyone predicts a Chelsea win as we are favoutites to win 90% of the games. In this comp, it takes a lot to win. Its great
-
That's an absolute impossibility. Must admit tho, these spanish players dont seem to have loyalties. Loads leave for rival teams.
-
And lampard will not buy out his contract for £7m lol. In fact, Lampard wont leave ever. Drogba would be between £15-£20m i think.

The six games that lost Chelsea the title...
Ollie replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
well no but i guess they evened out their undeserved defeats to Bolton, West Ham and Man City away. Even against Blackburn, they thoroughly deserved to win really as much as that goal made me wanna commit suicide. I was more pissed of with the Boro game where they came back to get a 2-2 because boro were the better team in the game. Even Tuncay almost won it late. Well......whats done is done even tho it sucks. Just wasnt meant to be. Next season WILL be different tho. Cant wait -
I don't believe that. I think we can beat Man utd regardless what team they put out. So your saying we have no chance in 9 days of beating them because they will be playing to win and they are better than us? We've only lost to them something like 3 or 4 in 13. Why do some ppl think man utd are so fantastic?

Every team has games which they dont win but shouldve won. If you reverse it then you can also say we were lucky to beat Portsmouth and boro at home. we were lucky to get a draw at Anfield, we were 2-0 down against villa at home and we were also lucky to win at Birmingham and Sunderland away werent we? And dont forget kalou's winner at home to Newcastle, 3 yards offside? Luck is always evened out in a whole season and you always come where you deserve. At the end of the day Man utd are the champions because over the season, they just about deserved it. They got lucky in many games but lost 5. They didnt deserve to lose away to man city or west ham but they did. -
Spose it wasnt really about the final day where the title was won. The Chelsea 1-1 Wigan (Heskey last min) and then Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd (Tevez last min) told us that this werent gonna be our season. From that moment, we all kinda knew really. Best thing is, like last season we have a chance for the last laugh. This one however is much much bigger.
-
imo wigan were the better team yesterday and Wigan shouldve had a pen when Rio BLATANTLY put his arm in the way of Koumas' shot. Then they score a penalty, why Boyce went in like that, fuck only knows, twat! but thats life. Paul scholes also shouldve been sent off. They aint impressed me this season, i dont even think they have been that good and in 9 days time, we're gonna fucking do them and really show the world how good man utd really are when they play against a proper team who are gunning for them after yesderday. The last laugh will be ours and i cant wait to see the manc fans and Ronaldive in floods of tears! Will make my year no-end.

lol apparently we've had a weak domestic season. 2nd in the premiership and only lost 3 games. FA Cup quarter Finalists where we lost on a mud bath shit hole of a pitch and Carling Cup finalists. What a SHOCKING domestic season As for "Dismal" Performances......we had many "Dismal" performances with Jose too. I'm only against Grant because a team like Chelsea deserves a bigger name and prior to his appointment i didnt know him from adam. I'm actually trying to think what he has actually done wrong. Maybe the tactics in the CC Final but well, all managers make mistakes. Look at when we lost to Fulham in 05/06....that was down to Jose's tactical bollock up. In fact, all this "We wouldn't go 1-0 up to tottenham under Jose and lose" is actually bull as in 06/07 we like, kinda did. no1 knows of we woulda played well or shit or won or lost under Jose, it was the players on the pitch that quite simply didnt perform and they we're pretty much the same players who jose wouldve played except Anelka. Anyway, i don't really want Avram again next year as hes still not a name worthy of the team i love but if he is still here, i wont exactly be devastated because hes done nothing wrong. The few things he has done wrong in the past, he has learned from imo.
-
Definitely need a winger or 2. If we cant get someone the stature of Messi, i think we should opt for bentley as i believe with a top 4 team, hes got every chance of being world class. Another english player too. Maybe tho we wont be dealing with wingers as such next season. It's been hinted that Anelka was bought for the 08/09 season to play in a 4-4-2 so maybe wingers arent top of the shopping list. Still...then again, if we're playing 4 across the middle, we will need wide players unless we go with the diamond to keep Essien, Ballack and Lampard all happy? Tough decisions thats for sure. A strong, reliable right back is also imperative. As for next season, i predict pretty much the same. We'll challenge for all 4 trophies, we'll probably fall short late on (Quarters/semis) in a couple and take the league down to the wire with Man utd again. I just hope that we stay pretty much injury free because with a fully fit squad for say....90% of the season, we'll be alot better and not make as many mistakes which have given so many teams a point this season, specially at home. Spose next season also depends on who is in charge. Summer is gonna be interesting to say the least.
-
We still had a good season tho. Even if we dont win fuck all, it's been a great effort by all even tho we might end up with as many trophies as Arsenal, West Ham and Fulham. 2nd in the league, Carling Cup Finalists, Champions League finalists (and maybe winners), FA Cup quarter Finalists.....it couldve looked amazingly better but it had more chance of looking a whole lot worse earlier on. Couldnt of dreamt of this 10 years back, even 5 years back. Ok Jose shouldnt of got sacked, yes great, we all know but we can't do fuck all. Summer will be very interesting.
-
Well thats the first one out of the way. Premiership Champions = Manchester United Chelsea 1-1 Bolton, another last minute goal conceded (have we actually scored any?). Next.........
