I am here with you. Yes, he was great today, he was creating for himself and for the others. But seriously, his behaviour was awful. He should not have received the second yellow card but he should not have been on the pitch at that time. The incident with Vertonghen was a straight red and if not, don't forget the ironic clapping in the frist half. Once the ref is against him (and in most cases rightfully so), he just acts like a baby. But again, don't get me wrong. As far as football is concerned, I was really happy with his performance.
If it wasn't for his behaviour on the pitch and the scratching, he would have never been sent off and we could have won it. Shame. Anyway, it was a great display from him so hopefully he will keep this form.
He was exactly needed in the heart of midfield, against Paulinho and Dembele. Yet, he was supposed to play a winger. The second half showed the massive difference. Hopefully Jose realized a few things today.
Even though Torres played extremely well and worked hard, I have to say he is an idiot. What on earth is that to touch the opponent in the face and scratch??? It was clear that once he performs any kind of a tackle, especially against Vertonghen, he would be sent off. The criminal first half with Ramires on the wing (Mourinho's selection) and Torres' behaviour cost us three points today. We could have won it in the end but not with 10 men.
