  1. Was Czech injured in the same place as last week ?
  2. Atletico are an enhanced version of PAOK Salonika. They won't win.
  3. If it is the no 1 of the first link, it's silent. The second link asks user to disable adbloc. What will happen if I do ? Before ad bloc I was being cut every two minutes.
  4. The first 25 minutes are crucial. If 0-0 then they will become nervous. They want 2 goals difference and clean sheet to be happy.
  5. Liverpool finish like train. As things stand we are not away from finishing above City, the hopeless-to-chase opponent of a few weeks back according to some, but Liverpool manage to take all points in their matches. Somehow we buckled, as shown by the injury list as well. This is called a bounce. The biggest bounces in the history of football were Brazil losing to Urguay in 1950, Hungary to Germany in 1954 and France to Germany in 1986. Just when everything was going well, disaster came along. Can that be explained ? Some people tell me it's because you read so much about Brazil, Hungary and France that those events are stuck in your memory, but I wonder. Maybe there is an explanation for all those Jeckyll-Hyde transformations.
  6. We won't play West Ham type defense. That's an invitation for 6-0 defeat. We did play like that against Barcelona in the 2-2 but don't forget that we were soon reduced to 10 in that match and could n't do much else. Mourinho's Inter Milan also played that way against Barca -and held out- but they too were reduced to 10. Btw those sending offs, Motta and Terry, were for minor incidents, both in the first halfs.
  7. No Atletico fans. The Greeks enter all foreign forums - because they want to bet on the matches. The Turks of course and the French. No visit from Atletico.
  8. 21st of April - Greek dictatorship - memory lane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJWMFkBcbYk
  9. It's not a striker's game tomorrow - the foremost task is to crowd them and frustrate their wingers. If we witness scenes like Sunderland's Alonso-Wickham goal then it's goodbye. I hope Cech is ok.
  10. Yesterday we failed to win because of defense 80%, because of attack 20%. 2-3 now the Scousers.
  11. There is a glimmer of hope for City. Let's work for them - they don't set journalists around saying they 'll drawn us in the Mersey.
  12. Scousers 3-1 up. No resistance apparently.
  13. I want to know this: Who was responsible for Alonso left alone by a country mile and a furlong in the equalizer and never mind Schwarzer dropping the ball afterwards - that could happen to anyone. That was n't maybe the decider, with one hour left, but it's highly indicative of the loosened nuts state of affairs yesterday.
  14. When they scored the equalizer the man who shot first had enough time to order coffee. Then in the penalty it was a Spurs like defensive situation. That's not Chelsea, it's some other team - Tromso perhaps or Cowdenbeath. No strengths left.
  15. I hope City gets it. I cursed them because they were the danger to us and not Pool - before yesterday. But the fanfarony goes over the top.
  16. Might have been a pen if Azpi's right leg pulled Antidore's left but this is n't the case.
  17. Well we need a man who can move like turbo machine in the box, the way Demis Nikolaidis (Torres ex partner) used to and others like Didier Drogba of course. Eto'o is one such player, he did score the one goal but maybe something more is needed. Yet today's match was sold down the river by a Spurs like defensive performence. It's a huge anticlimax, losing the league because of West Ham-WBA-Villa-Palace-Sunderland and granted in the four out of five of those it was the absence of strikers to blame. In the transfer market some big money is needed, taking into account the ages of the current squad of players too. A big name won't suffice - if we talk in terms of premiership-champions league that is. In June some players of various nationalities will shine in Brazil and their managers are on the lookout for the big money spenders. It's an expensive year if we want to compete. I don't really believe we have reached the level of the 2008 team (Essien-Drogba-Lampard-Ballack). We performed some heroics and sprung back when people expected us to go down tamely to City, in that match we won 1-0. But we faded in the last furlong real bad.
  18. Azpi's right leg hits the ground and never touches the Sunderland man.
  19. Azpi's right leg hits the ground and never touches the Sunderland man.
  20. The penalty was in the referees imagination of course - Foy number 2.
  21. Such is life. I feel sick. This time it was the defense pure and simply who sold the match. The strikers did score one - and missed two or three.
  22. That Sunderland goal was a comedy of errors. The one who took the first shot had 25 metres of football ground infront of him. Go figure now.
  23. It is one for the anthology. I remember a few. In 1983 "Juve vai prendi la" (Corriere de la Sera). But Hamburg stole it. We invite him for fish dinner. Mersey must have some fish.
  24. Sorry, Brian Mears was the old president - no Baines.
