Chelsea have £54M bid rejected for Juventus star
cosmicway replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Juve are champins of Italy and CL finalists. Why would they sell to us ? Wring target imho. -
Clownish performance despite the comical ref. Did he deny us to pens and what was this cap he was wearing ? I never liked these summer tournaments. USA, Singapore, Canada and all the rest of it.

True. The famous Hungarian Marton Boukovi (Olympiakos Piraeus), lost his first friendly by 4-0 to some lowly team. Nobody remembers that of course.

Look, those Bayern goals look sillier every time I watch them. In the first one all Tibot has to do is take a step to the right before committing himself and it becomes a piece of cake. He has all the time in the world to do that. In the third one again his feet remain fixed on the ground. It's a back pass from Muller and it's made to look like it was a meteor from the sky. Their second looks better, but again there is some loose marking in the area. The defensive formation in the first half was also wrong - the Germans were left with acres of space.
-
Fabregas trying to check Muller in their second was a joke. The other two looked spectacular but from 40 yards out it's a joke again.

It's going to end 4-2 to BM.

They seem to be one class apart, but Courtois is sleepy today.

Too friendly. The only time I saw our players finding such easy shooting positions was against Galata Saray, the return leg, or against the Israeli team the year before. It's good to see players like Willian and Mitsi executing Czech though.

Why is Vardy not heard of anyplace ?

I expect a lot from Bakayoko because he was one of our targets from the beginning and he was also very good in Monaco of course. Morata will replace Costa -let's hope- so effectively we have made one transfer in total (ok, plus Rudiger the defender from Roma). We need one more.

Chelsea plot shock move for Man City superstar

Is n't he injury prone ? We spotted him first in 2012 and tried to buy him from Atletico but City beat us to it. In these five years he played well for them but a tad below ecxellence. -
Chelsea announce signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco

Didier came from France. Fingers crossed. -
Players come of age too. In May-June 2015 the press pundits were on their knees praising Iva but he hardly made it to the end of the next season. I 'd like to see more momentum and I am one of those who wish for 2012 to return rather than mere premier league success.

Manolas's uncle is one of the top five of all time Greek legends (retired 1997). Maybe the top 1 as defenders go. The nephew who is playing for Roma never caught my eye. Are you saying Rudiger is rated below Manolas ?

There are some cracks and as for Europe we can look forward to no more than be just a little better than City. If he goes it will be the first time in many-many years any manager in any country left because the board failed him during the transfer period. Most managers are timid when confronted with this type of situation. But I just can't believe it. Roman knows the end of the world is coming and decided to hide his money ?

Granted we had bigger men than Costa in the past. Ossie, Didier ... But you ditch Costa only if you have Pele in the pipeline !
-
Antonio is super-professional. Anybody else would say the usual "we have a complete side" and then when the going gets tough start the mourinho cry routine (referees-rain-no rain-bad terrain ...). I hope it works for him.

My video was meant to depict a dubious situation. Like with Hurst's goal there is no definite answer I think. The keeper raising his arms in protest immediately as the ball goes past him is no proof of course. I suppose if it was a foul committed by the reds during the build up inside the box, it should n't have counted. But as I said it should be up to the ref. to seek assistance. Below I show you the epic from 2013 cup final. The reds get the favour of the call again ! Here is what happens. The ref and the fourth ref are having a conference and decide it was n't a penalty - the game was resumed with a corner kick. But while that conference was taking place the tv had time to show two (2) replays !! Upon closer inspection of the videos the referee's view is seen to be obstructed by players inside the box and the fourth referee's view from behind the goal is also obstructed by the upright. So when they talked they decided to give the benefit of the doubt to the reds while at the same time they had no right to call for video assistance. It was pen and red card of course.
