That was basically Goerig's economic policy. It's true however that 20th century fascists did not have the means to control economies by 100% - given that they were not keen on state ownership. In the 21st century and in the 22nd century it will be different (assuming that in the 22nd century further fascistization will be needed).

Hitler was one. Apart from his other antics he believed in the "corporate state", the streamlined economy. This is a system in which the state dictates what economic activities are favoured or not favoured. That's not quite the same as making some types of business illegal but some stiff government control is at play. Thus if you are a chemist it's not illegal of course but you can't open a chemist's shop, because the state (the party) gives a limited number of licenses to whomever they like. This system resembles up to a certain point the Stalinist system but it's not quite the same of course, as Stalin says everything belongs to the state and there is no activity other than strictly state activity.

Dpn't knock it. There are some idiots -Paris train for example- but I really think the football community have found the solution to everyone's satisfaction. In England the first black player was someone belonging to West Ham as I recall. In a foggy morning they beat us 4-2 at the bridge -despite us going 2-0 ahead early- and he scored one for them (Ossie's relations with the club became bad after that and he moved to Southampton). But there was no chanting against the black player or anything like that. In Greece it was a midfielder called Inluga in 1985 and the hooligans were chanting against him. But then things changed. I mean if Batista -the Gullit of the poor as he was called- sends your team to the cup winners cup semis, you get the message and you drop the idiotic notions of the past.

It's extraordinary how the football community have solved the worldwide problem of immigration that no one else can solve. The teams take foreign players on the basis of professional achievement. They sign those players who can do the job for them, (or at least they are trying). Then the fans are happy with the players. There used to be some terrace chanting but it's gone. From my Greek team some were chanting against the Piraeus black player Batista in the 90s. The fellow came over to us, beat Dynamo Moscow, Torino and others. One must be crazy to say anything against him again, or for that matter against black players of other teams. So the football community have solved the problem, without excesses of any kind but the politicians don't even want to look.

Lab is on it's way out, to be replaced by the Libs. Even if they get rid of Jeremy they are too weak to ever pose a threat to the Tories. The Jeremy character, an eccentric leftist, is of course a certain loser, beyond any rational description. What happened yesterday is that before the "movement of populations" takes place he talked it over with Theresa and they agreed. As he is a Brexit collaborator it serves them both. There is going to be a lot of tactical voting and in some marginals you may even see the Tories voting Labour ! The liberals and of the serious labour voters should put their act together and their objective is to take the teeth out of the Brexit monster, rather than kill it on the 8th of June. About Europe it's "the Tories gaveth and the Tories taketh away" really. What can we do ? The Brexit monster is nominally stronger by 18% now than it was same time last year. After the referendum the Tories were messaging each other with words like "it's over now boys, now we all stand for Theresa May". About Theresa's "negotiations" with Europe you can take failure for granted of course. What this will signify remains to be seen, but she has n't got a chance. She is always under the delusion however that the Europeans are like African tribes with spears and the redcoats will scare them.

There used to be log-keepers and goals compendium videos round here. I don't think our play-makers aim for peoples heads all that much, under Conte system. Also the chance of a corner kick resulting in a goal is small in the premier.

Snap election on the 8th of June. My view: A vote for Tory, Ukip or Lib is respect. A vote for Lab is the daft vote of the century.

How many did we score with headers though ?
-
He did score with the head many times. The question is to do it again between now and June. China is expecting.

Diego is not a ball player. He 'll never be. Also seeing that he is 29 he's got two-three more good years. Players with his style seldom go beyond 31-32. I think He needs to concentrate and score us some goals. The most useless ever of this type was Dimitriadis (AEK Athens 90s). Could only kick the ball with his shin. But fast as a bullet inside the area, won the title of top scorer for 3 consecutive years (= three Toyota sports cars). The one of the same type who is a wee bit of a ball player is Mitroglou (Olympiakos - Benfica).

The way Diego Costa gets the stick in this thread is as if he has already left Chelsea and he is in China with a little red Mao book. First of all this was definitely the wrong sort of match to judge him. Away, against a strong opponent who had most of the possession. Against Crystal Palace maybe. Diego's style is this: Sleep most of the day then bite like a snake. If he stays with us for twenty years and if he becomes the league's top scorer you won't see anything else. If we use Batshuayi now is it going to work ? He was last seen against West Ham for the capital cup where he was given a great chance but he skied it with his shin. Then some cameo appearances. I think it's the time for the present squad to be encouraged to get their act together and play like lions in the next six matches.

Spurs cannot afford to use Mourinho's man to man tactics. And are they going to be so lucky ?
-
Cahill wants to calm down the ref in case he 's a trigger happy one. It was an instinctive reaction. Did the ball went his way in the aftermath ?
-
Mourinho knows the Chelsea team. But it's a typical thing that can happen if you play a strong side away and your mind is not set to secure the draw first. MU also did not plan to attack us all out - took them some 7-8 minutes early on to make an attack. The bogus goal changed things in United's favour but again we seemed incapable of putting them under pressure, even at the risk of leaving huge gaps behind. If they use man to man tactics you can't do much - only expect them to tire.

It's tragic if we actually lose this title. It's one thing when we are neck and neck with the opposition, or when we have to face them in a title decider and we lose. Also if we have won 10 championships in a row and it's the 11th and we lose it. But surrendering a 10-5-6 point lead is tragic for the club - any club. It just can't be allowed to happen !!!
-
In MOTM the mod put the wrong keeper.
-
There was no shame when we lost to Palace, the way it happened. Also away to Spurs. But with today's performance we cannot beat any first division team.
-
It's not the lead. We 're playing crap and Spurs seem to have find the elixirium of youth.
-
The handball created a stolen ball situation, very much like Tibot's bad pass in the match against City. It was far but that does n't make much difference. They were given lots of free space. After that it was hard lines.
-
I don't get this with the Chinese. Maybe it has to do with him not staying in the club but if he does n't perform they will give him less. I mean suppose you play for the national team of Greece and the big clubs of Europe have their eyes on you. Are you going to bottle Greece ?
-
Costa has many fans here. It's never been my type of player: Mitroglou, Joe Jordan, Hrubesch, Antoniades. Name them. But I became a fan too because this man is trying and he has scored us many goals. He is out of form and furthermore if there is a match in which to expect a daft performance from him it's this one. Away to United who play possession. Nearly everybody was useless. I 'm very worried because it looks like we 're in the middle of a massive slump and it was n't a once off thing.
-
Only Luiz played.
-
Spurs got two goals against the run of play. Maybe the same bad as against Arsenal early in the season. Granted they had a big advantage after the hand ball we did not even react. We could not react. Even after the 2-0 we did not react for appearances sake.
-
Ludicrous. I don't see how we can beat any premiership team.
