Arsenal look a complete shambles. Their players are all frail and lightweight as usual. You can't win the league with that. They made our 1st half performance look half decent, though admittedly they're playing a better team. Looks like another 4th place trophy beckons.

We probably wouldn't have won the game if he didn't play. Shades of last season only this time plus Costa. That might just be enough but who knows.

Some top European sides don't even play with holding midfielders. The point is that we should be dominating matches in terms of quality of possession far more than we did today. When you have so many flair players on the pitch and you play like Tony Pulis' Stoke City or Wimbeldon in the 1990's then you're asking to be scored on.

Everton vs Arsenal should be a good one.

Aside from Brana, the only player that at least showed up despite Azpilicueta never helping him offensively. But I guess he's too good to look utter shite when the team is playing so poorly.

I thought he was very underwhelming in the 1st half and slightly above average in the 2nd. But I guess his performance was good because of lowered standards or what?

Is there something wrong with him fitness wise? He was on the bench, so I doubt that. Today would have been the perfect day and perfect opposition to play him against. I was fully expecting him to start so that he could acclimatize with his teammates and so that we could have had at least some real attacking threat down the left.

Again, we get the win as expected and the 2nd half was good as expected. But it's only going to mask over the fact we were unacceptably appalling in the first half which surprised me. It's one thing being poor but that angered me. We were able to pick ourselves up against Burnley but we looked so nervous in front of our own fans. Once the team felt we were playing horribly after 20 mins, they let their heads drop drastically. I'm certain Jose is bothered by that. Against a team with more quality, we would have not won this game. How we can go from Burnley to THAT in the space of 1 game? Hopefully, it's not going to develop into a pattern. If we play like that against Everton, we will lose.
