We've also been at the top of the table since August which is pretty incredible.
-
He had 4 shots vs West Ham which is more than any Chelsea player. Can he/should he shoot more, yes, but it's almost becoming a stick to continually beat him with. I don't think Mourinho has a problem with him as he currently is and that's all that matters.
-
Slowly but surely regaining his form.

Hazard was the one connecting everything last season. He was poor for the majority of last season and there were these same apologies for his mediocre performances. Everything was blamed for his poor performances but the player himself.Sorry but what does that even mean? His role first and foremost is to show on a consistent basis he has enough quality to be a starting XI player for this club. If he was doing what Mourinho wanted, why did he get subbed out? Why does he get subbed out in almost every game and why is he not trusted to start the big games? Especially since he's supposed to bring this amazing defensive contribution to the team?

Stonewall penalties turned down in favour of City (no surprises) and United. The PL officials doing their duty it seems.

Fanstastic game from Thibaut. These sort of games are usually difficult for goalkeepers coming from a foreign league. A lot of aerial balls to deal with, a lot of goalmouth scraps, the ball moving from box to box so quickly, but he handled everything perfectly, apart from when he dropped the ball that one time. We sometimes take for granted that we haven't had a goalkeeping problem for almost two decades. Cuducini - Cech - and now Courtois.
-
What did Oscar do in the 1st half that made him "good" and "sensational" like I was reading in the match thread? Bang average at best. If Willian played like that today, guy would have gotten slaughtered.
-
You're the one who needs to learn the game. Oscar was terrible in this game. Did absolutely nothing to contribute to his team's overall performance and was at best a passenger and at worst anonymous. I'm not going to apologize for anybody or use any double standard. He was simply very, very poor.
-
Yeah, he made Torres look competent at times today. 58% pass accuracy from a top striker like him is unacceptable.
-
I'm not. But the way some posters are saying Hazard should have scored....Watch the replay and you can see Adrian comes out very quickly. He probably would have scored with a toe-poke but I doubt if he would have with a placed shot. People sometimes forget football is a team game. When your teammate has an open goal, you pass to him.
-
I think his 1st half performance was v.overrated, tbh. Solid, yes, but nothing more. 2nd half, he was dire.
-
Really only Messi could have done that. And maybe Tevez as well, or maybe not. That close control thing is such an incredibly rare gift in football. And in addition to dribbling ability.
-
It matters because if it was 0-0 and Hazard was having a poor game and didn't shoot then, it would have meant more. But reading some comments here, it's like Hazard lost us the game. Unreal.
-
It was like Liverpool away in the cup. He's a player who desperately needs to be rotated more. He's 31 now, not a kid anymore but seemingly starts every game.
-
Was he even on the pitch today? His latest disappearing act as the game simply passed him by.
-
The real big chance was the free header he missed. He really should have scored that. Apart from that, one of his best performances of the season.
-
I think Mourinho had the line-up spot on today tbh, after I was admittedly very worried we will struggle creating chances. Maybe apart from Oscar, but that's more with the player being an absolute passenger more than anything.
-
This is why the criticism is lost in me. Hazard could have scored, Willian SHOULD have scored. Some of his critics are just bizarre, tbh. There's this enormous double standard how Hazard's performances are analyzed in contrast to his teammates.
-
Very fair and balanced analysis of the game.
-
You'll rather Hazard miss when his teammate is in a better position? Hazard could have scored, Willian SHOULD have scored. Really the large portion of the blame is with Willian. Any other placement and it's a goal. I can't really understand why this is even a debatable point considering : (1) The time of the chance. The game was practically over. (2) How many chances Hazard created for others. (3) Hazard's overall performance.
-
The goal we scored was really a thing of beauty, actually. A real team goal from back to front.
-
We seem to lose the thread in matches too much in the 2nd half nowadays. Can't understand it.
-
And as for MOTM, Hazard by a country mile.
