This Belgium squad is incredibly talented. Arguably the golden generation for them. Do you really want a coach who's proving himself to coach them? Or a proven world class coach? He's gotten them this far, but it seems this is about as far as he can go. At some point they are going to have to decide if he has the tools and tactical knowledge to get them further. I, along with everyone one else on here, have seen Wilmots make countless stupid lineup decisions, formation decisions, and substitutions in matches. Too many to count, he's no better than Hodgson, just lucky enough to get an extremely talented squad.

The point of a head coach, their main job, is to set up a team with tactics that suit them so they can compete. His title is not Belgium Head motivator, or respectsble man, it's Head coach. if he can't do his main job, he doesn't deserve to be there. It's not Kompany, KDB, and Witsel's job to sort out the teams tactical deficiencies, it's Wilmots job. And he clearly is not capable of it, and if Belgium want to become a competitve team in world football, he needs to go.

That's stupid. Stats, analysis, and tactics are the most concrete way to compare players/teams. Numbers don't like, like in baseball WAR is a stat that measures everything a player does defense, offense, fielding, baserunning, etc. There is nothing wrong with it. Don't be naive, ever hear of sabermetrics? Look it up.
