You can break the mould, you know. I'll compared him to his fellow countryman and former teammate, Douglas Costa. He can do all of the above and surprisedly enough, he's a winger. My perception of him has completely changed this season for the better and he's the last player that deserves criticism for his performance. I'm just stating he's still got room for improvement and ain't deluded to think he can do no wrong now.

I'm talking about being given a chance to find form. That wasn't the case at Palace and he has essentially wasted 5 months. I didn't say he has to be a guaranteed starter, but chances of playing have to be a higher priority than joining a good club. I think Villa could be the ideal place for him in a sense. However, it looks like it would be a losing battle to keep them up and possibly wouldn't be a great experience.

Happy to see that he's cutting his loan short. A move to another Prem side would be ideal, but playing time is a must wherever he ends up
-
His final ball is still lacking. Major part of his game that needs to improve IMO

I'm in total agreement with your thoughts on our play. That type of football was ok to a point seeing as we were top from the get go, but it started to show after Christmas. The players we have and the coach at the time were both to blame. We don't have a team, rather 6 defending and 4 attacking with little to no link up between the two that stagnates our play. We have no real identity and it's really prevented us from building any sort of team to succeed for the long haul. Also, the board have made some poor signings to use as quick fixes whilst overpaying for them as well in the process. The board have acquired players to fill wholes rather than selecting ones that actually fit our team and the way we play. I personally don't see how much can change until we appoint someone in the summer and see what they want from the team.

A striker and AM are really needed.

I agree. More composure on the ball will put him among the best. He's a beast physically

Traore is 20, an International and was a regular in Holland. He didn't just come out of the academy, so we need to differentiate players with and without experience. Age is JUST a number. Too many don't seem to realise that around here. I get the point of slowly introducing players, but what we're putting out (Oscar being one of several) isn't good enough. However, I'll be more critical of Hiddink at the end of his tenure. Just making a point for the other half of the season.
-
Oscar was playing as a AMF. Traore could have come on and played on the wing and Willian move into the center. The performance today was nothing to be proud of seeing as the opposition haven't won a game in 8 and lost their last home match to Norwich.
-
I didn't expect any of them to start, but why on earth did Oscar play the whole match? The lack of depth on the bench was the ideal time to give someone a chance
-
Gus was the one would originally gave him his chance, but should have seen enough to see he's past his best.
-
I mentioned obvious examples, but could have named a few more. Saviola, Bojan, Raul and I could go on. Players can only deliver if they get minutes. Unless you can look into the future, you haven't got the foggiest whether any of our youngsters could or couldn't have won us the game.

Battered?!We were carrying passengers once again and that is why they deserve chances. How old was Messi when he made his Barca debut, CR7 at Utd, etc?! Age is just a number and shouldn't be holding back people who are better than those in front of them. Enthusiasm over passengers ALL DAY LONG!
-
This game was the perfect chance to give youth some minutes. Why did Traore stay this season?
-
Constantly at fault. Why has neither manager dropped him permanently?!
-
Unbelievable!
-
Gets worse game by game. Club need to do ALL THEY CAN to ship him
-
I thought we had turned a corner. Offered almost nothing Exactly. Him on for Oscar or Pedro.
-
Didn't want Iva or Oscar to start. The latter because of injuries, but no reason the former shouldn't be replaced by Baba
-
No striker in the squad? I hope something is actually wrong with Remy
-
I don't see much happening at all. Alex probably coming in and nothing else to shout about. However, I hope I'm proven wrong

Realistic expectations for the second half of the season
LAM09 replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
So much depends on what business we do in Jan. FA Cup and scrapping into the top 4 is probably the best we can hope for. See 6-7 being more realistic. Winning the CL seems so far off, but we did win it when we were hopeless in the league and had an interim coach. -
Let's hope Utd do us a favour and keep Van Gaal for a bit longer. Won't have a better chance of picking three points up this season.
-
I'm hoping someone has money to throw down the drain and take him off our hands in over a week's time.

Putting the ball in the back of the net again. Playing in the box works wonders.
