Conte just seems to be prefer him and it's shown in his number of starts. Height, stamina, strength, less attack minded and his supposed defensive abilities. There's obviously a few reasons why he could be starting ahead of Cesc, but I seriously don't know what his role is anymore. The ability he showed when he return has seemingly gone.

I'm in agreement. The ball really is in Fabregas' hands in the summer.

Cesc probably wants to be a starter more often than not at his supposed peak. That isn't going to happen here IMO. I would personal want him to be starting ahead of Matic myself, but result come first.

It all depends on what happens in the summer tbh. I can't see Cesc or the club turning down £25-30m (from Milan) for a bench player as of now.

He's one player I hope we don't let go unless we get another playmaker.

Wouldn't he be another Rodriguez at this point. It would only make sense if Real got rid of a few big names.

No Kante will make this match trickier, but I expect us to get the job done.

£30m is a joke. He isn't HG & hasn't become much better since leaving Celtic for £11.5m. CB is a position where we have several options. Something needs to be done about a few players before bringing in anyone.
