I'd personally prefer Michy to lead the line than spending £60-80m on someone that isn't that special IMO.

The probably is our board trying to haggle for anyone and everyone when the likes of City, Madrid & PSG just throw the money down. Things have changed a lot in the last decade.

He has that tenacious attitude like Costa, always gives his all on the pitch, better finisher and his link up play is quite good too. I just see him being the ideal CF to lead a Conte team and he probably would have done so with the NT, had Conte still been at the helm.

He just seems to have all the tools to become a great CF for us.

I said a younger Costa doesn't excite me and we have no clue what's to come from him. I'm sure we could get Belotti for a similar fee to Lukaku. Our club love to haggle after all.

I don't remember Everton sitting back under Martinez and the story was still the same. I just can't see any positives in the prospect of him rejoining. Him being a younger Costa in my eyes isn't appealing. Belotti's basket is where we should be putting all eggs in.

Conversation rate isn't what I'm getting at when he best performances have come against the bottom six. Seen him plenty of times waste chances. Tell me his stats against the big teams to begin with?

I'd say Belotti COULD be that in terms of what's attainable. The majority of us here have seen Lukaku on a weekly basis to know he isn't really an upgrade on what we have. Need to put the age factor away, as he isn't an 18 yr old we'll be signing.

I don't know how to feel about this link. The last player we bought from them didn't do too bad, but I can't see what he exceeds at. Feel this move is too soon despite him being an investment. In addition, I'd expect Traore to go the other way should that be our trump card.

Drogba was part of an average Ivorian side whilst Lukaku is part of arguably the most talented NT right now. He's a striker that needs 5 chances before tucking one away. We need a 3 or 2 in 1 type of CF for us to be a major threat.

I'm more than certain he'll be at a top 4 club within in the next 2-3 years should he stay injury free. Some wouldn't know talent if it slapped them in the face.

Confidence can have a massive impact on someone. I guess being amongst the top 5 creators this season, Roma's top scorer last year and second highest behind Dzeko (top scorer in Serie A) is all down to luck. He'd be a massive assest to any team in Europe with an eye for goal.

I'd expect that to change with Alonso & Lahm retiring.

I'd be very worried by Alba playing in the EPL.

Could add Bertrand to that list too.
