  1. I'd honestly say around £35-40m would be ideal for both clubs, all things considered. We receive a decent figure for someone with a year left whilst Real Madrid get a cut price upgrade. Shame we don't have an understanding individual who would sign an extension, see how things go under Sarri and potentially agree a move for next summer. I certainly have no qualms with his motivation for wanting to move, just the way he's conducted himself during his time here. On the GK discussion, I'm surprised there's been little or no talk of Donnarumma considering the state Milan are in and the ultimatum he gave for the 17/18 season (finish in the top 4 or bust).
  2. He's constantly spoken about Madrid and his kids, so there is only two options. Atletico aren't going to downgrade even if a profit is to be bad. Chelsea could demand some in return plus cash to make it more beneficial.
  3. What's reasonable? They sold Mahrez for 60m & Drinkwater to us for 30m. We would be looking at 35-40m min for a HG that will 32 in a few months. That wouldn't be good business. I have a weird feeling we might end up with Donnarumma.
  4. You just don't get it. Thibo is a Chelsea player with one year left on his contract, so as it stands, we aren't DESPERATE for anything. Get back to me when Real Madrid confirm his signature.
  5. You wrote the following - We sell Thibo without a back up in place, we're fucked. That's the bloody difference Can't reiterate the same point for the next hour. Thanks for the input
  6. If Thibo sees out his contract, are we desperate? No idea what's different to grasp. The second point was hypothetical and what could happen if we just sell Thibo with no thought.
  7. I didn't say that. I was solely referring to Thibo departure. We could easily force Thibo to see out his contract before approaching a similar calibre GK next summer. Far from ideal but could be done if needs must. Your lack of concern on the matter could see us ending up with Caballero as our number 1 or spending 50m+ on Pickford. Liverpool are the stumbling block. I believe he could join them if they are willing to match Roma's price .
  8. We aren't desperate, as the final say about transfers lie with the club & not Thibo; he's not a free agent. It's called, covering your back.
  9. Hope this deal isn't confirmed until his replacement is in the door.
  10. There was talk of Grealish. Signing a HG third GK would be a wise idea
  11. We don't need another stopgap
  12. Rodriguez was their last. They have spent around 100m on Brazilians no one has ever heard, so I wouldn't call all their business shrewd.
  13. There's been a decent amount of talk of Luiz going to Naples. I'm sure someone will be on the verge of leaving should this deal get rubber stamped. The rumoured price is concerning though.
  14. That might have something to do with it, but we all know Roman wants attacking football at the Bridge and this is probably the best chance we will have. Lets hope he's giving Sarri the best chance to succeed unlike Conte & Mourinho in his final season.
  15. It would be more of a money motivated move if rumours of Sarri's long admiration for him were true & Juventus' interest as well.
  16. I don't think many would disagree with that sentiment. Losing him would be the biggest blow to our team.
  17. Only option would be a swap if it drags out. Real Madrid aren't exactly short of players that they want to get rid off, who would improve our squad without question.
  18. Juventus aren't selling him if Higuain's off.
  19. His rise has unreal and he's still a humble guy
  20. Any club of note (top 6) will have their business wrapped up in advance in terms of ins and outs.
  21. People were having the same discussion in 2014 when Messi was wrongly awarded it as well. Seems like it's a consultation prize at this point
  22. Think the price tag is the issue and he's more of a short-term fix than anything. Morata going the other way would make things even worse.
  23. Yep. Just adds fuel to the fire and we all know Real Madrid get their targets 99% of the time Same could be said about Totti, but they were from their respective cities. Hazard has no ties with the club/city.
  24. It would be something if he's still waiting on Thibo to make his mind up. Can't they make their own choices?
  25. There's no one close to his level that is obtainable, so we will be weaker in that department regardless.
