A small bit of faith restored in Maresca after Sanchez's dropping. Long overdue. We have to take advantage of other results this weekend.
-
At worst, he'll be sold for a profit. Have you not figured out how this board works yet?
-
If the average age of our squad wasn't low enough. Leaders, what are they? 😪
-
You forgot Gittenstoo. The targets aren't surprising in the slightest, as we are being linked with almost any who has a connection to City's academy. They are clearly talented, but we need players who can take us up a level right now, not three/four years (if we're lucky).

Vlahovic did a good job of hiding it yesterday 😄
-
If we actually allow any of those clauses (assuming this deal happens), that will signal that we have well & truly become a feeder club. I'd be shocked if he entertained a move back this soon considering his partner (a well-known Swiss international) made the move to Juve as well.

They seem to be doing their best to muck up any chance of Carney getting a move away as well. Doing far more harm than good in recent months.
-
Back to reality for City. Effectively the same side played last week where we rolled over. Ortega is dire performance as well.
-
KDH already ticks all those boxes.
-
Kinda crazy to think Villa are covering almost £250,000 in wages while we are lucky if even half of that sum is being covered with Sterling's loan. Delap scored yesterday 😃
-
No idea, tbh. I'm sure the club will call back someone from Strasbourg if needed.
-
The fact Diasi & Badi are still here probably change the board's original plans.
-
Big fish. He didn't exactly impress at Atletico despite having a good number of appearances. Not to mention the price Wolves would want for him as well.
-
I didn't realise the latter was still on their books. That would have been an elite a few years ago.
-
It's something to imagine Gala having a better CF options than us (Morata & Osimhen). For all the hate around the Ferguson rumour, he fits the "different" CF quota at a fair price. If we send a penny over £25-30m, those making such calls have no clue what they are doing.
-
They have it to burn. I'm sure some teams will become part of a Champions League format competition within the next few years. It's just a shame that players that should have no business going over there are.
-
Imagine if they went after an elite player at the top of their game whose in contract (Vini has been mentioned). The fee would easily be a new record fee. He ended getting that meaningless goal.
-
€8m euros without making an appearance in an official game for us.
-
We made a profit with Angelo and are bound to do the same with Veiga at some point. That their MO, so they are doing pleased.
-
Nope. Window shuts on Monday night
-
If PSG have just got €55m potentially rising to €81m~ for Simons with a sell-on, we know whoever we get is going to be well over priced. Tel for €60m~ isn't good business despite his age.
-
It doesn't always work that way. A serious injury and he becomes the forgotten man. The real winners (off the field rn) are Villa. They have managed to get stupid money for someone who has been nothing more than an impact sub.

You are aware KDH has previous PL experience (59 games to be exact), right? His struggles or limitations shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, especially the person who has coached him for almost two years. I'm unsure what was known, as early signs showed Maresca would make choices that benefit the team. He did that by getting rid of a few bad eggs and standing his ground by freezing others out (Chilwell—which I'm still unsure was a wise move considering he could still be here come June). His biggest call will be Sanchez this weekend. If he remains GK, he won't be manager till the end of the season. You are mentioning one game in isolation. Felix didn't get a minute of match time against Everton, Fulham, and Palace, and the one game he played was at LW against Ipswich. Nkunku was fielded as a CF, and people are wondering why he was a non-entity. He isn't a CF. As I mentioned in another thread, it's very clear Maresca has his favourites who might have delivered for him prior to Everton away, but they haven't been doing so since. At least we are in agreement about something —rotation, rotation, rotation.
-
It's a combo of his sole transfer selection (from what we can tell—KDH) and the board signing guys the manager was never interested in (Felix being the obvious example). If he doesn't want to play someone he chose and "watched" day in and day out for over a year and doesn't like the look of Palmer's alternative, despite Palmer being off the pace for weeks, he is essentially contributing to this and our bad run of form. Maresca becomes a YES man, employing all of the players at his disposal regardless of who brought them in, or he isn't a YES man and fights for the correct players, assuming he's given the chance in six months and KDH was a one-time occurrence. Something needs to give for us to take crucial steps in the right direction for the club's immediate and long-term future.

This has to stop at some point. It's a scattergun approach rather than picking the best of the bunch. Just look at Pedro Limo, who seemed set to join us last summer before Wolves came in. I understand he's young and may come good in years to come, but he is just another example of what's wrong with this ideology in footballing terms. If we're talking about human trafficking, the board is doing a stellar job.
