Lopetegui just doesn't learn. Playing that number of attacking players who won't do the dirty work is asking for trouble. On the other hand, Salah is playing better than his debut season for Liverpool. He seems to be getting at least a goal and an assist every game.
-
If you consider our entire squad, we have ample options in midfield (KDH, Lesley, Santos, Carney, Casadei, etc). The talent or lack of at this level is another story. There's absolutely no point on having them on the books if Maresca doesn't value them.

It's crazy we have bought so many goalkeepers recently and still have failed to identify one that would be up to the job (it really isn't that difficult - just look at what Liverpool did in the summer).
-
I feel like keeping such players affects their development more than anything. Youngsters need to play fairly regularly to actually develop rather than 5 games in a season. Signing KDH to just make a financial loss in less than 6 months doesn't give me much faith in this manager where incomings are concerned. The same could be said about the club signing Felix against Enzo's will (couldn't be more evident).
-
Like no one bought D.Fofana, Washington, etc. Are we going to actually play any CF we buy or are they just pawns?
-
That might have something to do with him not being a CF. During preseason (I know) last year, they showed chemistry straight away. Palmer on the right and Nkunku behind Jackson/Guiu is the only way to go outside of the Conference league. I have no idea why something that seems so obvious from afar isn't being seen by those who really matter.

Four points dropped thanks to Maresca. No idea why Felix was bought. I honestly have worries about our transfers going forward.
-
I compared him to Willian shortly after he joined, and I stick by that. He's defensive qualities aren't needed for most games we'll play. It's gotten worse. Nkunku isn't a CF. 😐
-
Maresca has done this for two games on the bounce. If he doesn't trust our bench, we better get moving in a matter of days.
-
So many issues with that goal. Tosin & Sancho in their own world. Why are Neto & Sancho still on the pitch for starters?
-
Cucu should be tucking that away from point blank range.
-
No, every game. Jota, Salah & Diaz have hardly played together, so maybe think before replying. Maybe take your assumptions and retire them along with your account like your fan favourite.
-
They've only scored in three games since November (losing to Southampton during that run). If a team is looking to stay in the league, he can probably do that job. Thats about it.
-
They really should have lost in the end. Everton had a 4v2 chance with a minute remaining and failed to even get a shot off. Everton are programmed to just defend, so it shouldn't be surprising that they were playing for their fifth draw in seven league games.
-
I'm expecting a tight encounter that come could down to whether Jackson can take his chances or not. That's a joke, right? Liverpool's starting front three are in a different league to us.
-
Rumours have it that Maresca was never keen on signing him, and the club "convinced" him about going ahead with it, so these sorts of headlines don't surprise me. If a possible attacking target became available, we shouldn't be opposed to letting him go.
-
What else is he going to say about someone who was once a fellow colleague of his? He's useless and has only won league titles in England because he's part of a corrupt organisation. Cruyff changed football; I don't believe Pep did. Not sure who the haters are around here. All I can say is, City's current form with the highest-paid player in the league is worse than that of relegation candidates. I agree with the last bit, though - if he stays, they'll be back amongst the high flyers in the Championship, if they are lucky.
-
Best players to grace the league in recent years. Neither Mou or Conte want to take the blame for the latter despite both playing a part. The one player (from that bunch) we bought back.... Lukaku 😔
-
He wasn't Liverpool's main PK taker either (Milner was).
-
He could sit out the rest of the season and would probably still be the favourite of player of the season (Palmer is the only one that could compete by May). The number of records he has broken is unreal. Shearer might even be worried should Liverpool give him an open chequebook.
-
Talk will come up about Jackson again. We didn't take two big chances, so we only have ourselves to blame, antifootball or not. Maresca didn't do much to help us either today.
-
No idea how Sancho played the entire 90 mins. Two points dropped
-
That's unreal. The ref has had to stop the game at multiple points because of players fighting.
-
It should have happened at HT. Everton are suspect when running back to their goal, so Madueke's pace would give them real problems. I'd think about bringing Guiu at some point soon as well.
-
Either way, we really shouldn't be talking about this in the future. Hopefully, he can make amends like he did last week.
