Another less than inspiring performance, but we got over the line. It's a joy having a CF that takes his chance/s.

I understand Tuchel wants the best possible result to begin our defence, but the lack of changes is very surprised. Azmoun and Malcom are their best players. We didn't have an easy time against Krasnodar last season, so we should be wary.

I think he's improved considerably since his time at Atalanta. We have supposedly made an offer to him along with PSG, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. I don't know where I stand with Bellingham; he's a very good player, especially at his age with years to improve, but I don't see us offering a fee close to Lukaku's, and I think that would be wise.

Anything but a good performance today, but we took our chances and got the three points, which is all that matters. Nice to have a CF bury chances once again; Lukaku's second goal gave me some Drogba-esque vibes.

Pleased we could do what Villa weren't able to and capitalise on a mistake.

Extremely fortunate not to be losing after that half. I was worried about us being lightweight in midfield before KO, and it's proving to be an issue, not to mention Saul's horrific first half.

Liking the line up for the most part but slightly worried about our midfield being lightweight. Alonso captaining the side is a surprising choice.

We need to shift the latter, and I don't see Gallagher getting a chance here. Also, I believe Saul will end up just being cover till next summer.

Maybe so, but he probably would have been an integral part of our defence & things could have been different with him being an established CB for us. Guess we'll never know.

I thought all Prem clubs had agreed to deny players from going to countries that are red listed (Salah & Elneny aren't allowed to play in Egypt, for example). Our gain, either way.
