Agreed. The generalisation is something I was getting at; judge each player on their own merit. I think that has become an issue in the last decade or so. I guess the overall lack of quality has a lot to do with that.

They weren't taking their chances, though. CHO missed a sitter shortly before Burnley scored, IIRC. Harsh or not, that's just how I see it. He would have received the plaudits had they scored a late winner, so he should be held by the same token.

As I mentioned yesterday, he was reactive & only made chances after we conceded. Ifs, buts, had are of little relevance when the score is in the balance.

I think there's a high chance he'll switch to the Ghanaian NT. England managers tend to play this game of playing with players and expecting them to be "grateful" for even being considered. More should follow Zaha's route.

The difference is the drop off from our squad to City's. If Pulisic & Mount (he was ill from an infection) are fit, why aren't they starting? Some players should be kept for random cup games & the odd few minutes once games are already decided.
