  1. As I stated previously, money talks.
  2. Agreed. The generalisation is something I was getting at; judge each player on their own merit. I think that has become an issue in the last decade or so. I guess the overall lack of quality has a lot to do with that.
  3. What about Suarez? I'm sure there's a few others as well.
  4. van Dijk? Might have played in Scotland for a bit, but I wouldn't say the league is any better than the Eredivisie.
  5. I'm sure that will come tomorrow morning
  6. In terms of transfer fees, but they will want excessive signing-on fees, not to mention big wages (Alaba is earning £400k+).
  7. I guess it ultimately comes down to each players' mindset. I won't even get started where England - Ireland, NI, Scotland & Wales are concerned.
  8. I doubt we'll sell anyone in the middle of the season.
  9. @Jase was referring to our attackers (correct me, if I'm wrong). They might be playing in different positions, but we shouldn't be reliant on them to score whilst players that actually play upfront remain abysmal in front of goal.
  10. I agree. They would be much higher had they not thrown away leads late on against Brighton & Arsenal to name two.
  11. Money should have no bearing. It should come down to representing the country he feels most connected to.
  12. They lost to Palace, so games that look easy on paper could prove much more challenging for them.
  13. Ah, fair enough. Let's see the USA NT do the same thing. 😀 If I remember correctly, a wonder strike from James was how we broke through Newcastle. Not sure how he's part of our attacking players. We had FOURTY SEVEN shots on goal in our last two games and only scored two goals, so sorry for me not being understanding with regards to your "recent week aside" comment.
  14. Just to put it bluntly, this won't be a rare occurrence. You were quite adamant about our attacking players upping their output, but so far, it's looking like the same old story. Hope I'm proven wrong, though.
  15. They weren't taking their chances, though. CHO missed a sitter shortly before Burnley scored, IIRC. Harsh or not, that's just how I see it. He would have received the plaudits had they scored a late winner, so he should be held by the same token.
  16. As I mentioned yesterday, he was reactive & only made chances after we conceded. Ifs, buts, had are of little relevance when the score is in the balance.
  17. Maybe so. Just weird when clubs let managers keep their jobs and sack them immediately after.
  18. Pulisic played on Tuesday night? I'm putting the fact we lost two points behind me, but for anyone to say Tuchel didn't make poor selection choices is beyond me.
  19. I think there's a high chance he'll switch to the Ghanaian NT. England managers tend to play this game of playing with players and expecting them to be "grateful" for even being considered. More should follow Zaha's route.
  20. He should never be the one to lead the line for a club wanting to win league titles. Lacks far too much playing in that role.
  21. Quite surprising after winning their first match as well. In regards to Ole, he will outstay most managers because of his connection with the club and those above him not giving a shit.
  22. The difference is the drop off from our squad to City's. If Pulisic & Mount (he was ill from an infection) are fit, why aren't they starting? Some players should be kept for random cup games & the odd few minutes once games are already decided.
