  1. It has more to do with the lack of options. How did Tuchel fair last after the Juve game at home? I'm still shocked we decided against going after a RB/RWB. Linked with Hakimi last summer & that's it.
  2. It's clear how reliant we are on James. We are literally a different side once he's out & it's beyond the point of concern.
  3. Same old. We couldn't hold on for a few minutes. No doubt "if Mendy" talk will start to reappear.
  4. It wouldn't have been worse than Cucu.
  5. Azpi at CB & RLC at RWB would have been smarter.
  6. Ahh. I remember him having a fine game against us.
  7. Auba has been asleep. If he doesn't wake up, bring Broja on. He's not an LCB at this level. Potter needs to stop forcing it.
  8. I'm going to mention the sole positive from today's selection - no Havertz. I thought Pulisic had a good shout to start after recent performances.
  9. I haven't kept track of football lower than the Championship for some time, so that could very well be the case. Who are you referring to, btw?
  10. Henderson wasn't to be beaten. He might have had some dodgy moments so far this season, but he ought to be United & arguably England's number one.
  11. Frustrating night. The constant personnel change caught up to us.
  12. RLC is one thing due to a lack of options. There's no excusing his persistence in starting Havertz despite 2/10 performances.
  13. How on earth is Havertz still on the pitch?
  14. Flashbacks of last season's away fixture. He's giving his all. Very unlucky a moment ago.
  15. He should be nowhere near the squad to start with. Mount was dropped & he picked up his game, whilst Havertz has probably gotten worse.
  16. I'm pleased to see Broja get a deserved start along with Gallagher. How Havertz keeps his place again is beyond me.
  17. There's difference between wanting and actually making a bid. He's the closest to one in our squad.
  18. Who wanted him a number of months ago? Also, the idea of having no natural DMF at all would be crazy.
  19. Someone that's been actively contributing for a number of seasons. Hakimi delivered at Dortmund, Inter's best player during his spell, and has continued the trend at PSG. I'd better steer well clear of the second part of your post.
  20. I wouldn't because I believe the latter has a higher ceiling & has a connection with the club. I was just stating who I think is the better WB right now. I agree. My thought process was based on the position they both tend to play (WB), where defending is a second priority & they can get bailed out. Defenders in general are weaker than even a decade ago. The emphasis on attacking play has certainly played a part.
  21. Mismanagement and overreliance on him goes further back than that. Didn't Sarri essentially force him to play against Arsenal in the EL Final?
  22. If we're talking about WB, I still think Hakimi is ahead of him.
  23. I still think he's on the cusp. If he stays fit & keeps putting in such performances, there won't be a question in my mind.
