  1. Explain why then, rather than tossing a random insult. Torres is worth £10M. Ramires is worth £20M. Lukaku is worth £20M. That's £50M all together so I'm valuing Pogba at a generous £40M. Juventus have been interested in all 3 of the players over the last year, and we're definitely interested in Pogba. Please explain.
  2. Getting rid of the useless Ramires and Torres and Romelu "Complete Striker but can't score against Algeria" Lukaku for probably the best young player in Europe AND £10M? What's so silly about that! Not that it's ever going to happen though .
  3. Ramires + Lukaku + Torres for Pogba + £10M. --------------Courtois------------- -Azpi---Cahill-------JT---Shaw- ---------------Matic---------------- ----Pogba---------Fabregas---- Oscar---------------------Hazard ---------------Costa--------------- Bench: Young English GK, Ivan, Mikel, MVG, Willian, Schurrle, Ba. This would be awesome. Having said that, now we've signed Fabregas we don't really need him, unless it means we're going to get rid of Ramires and/or Torres, in which case it would be the best transfer we could ever make.
  4. Schurrle is the same. Remember Schurrle at striker this season? We need to play strikers at striker and wingers on the wing. None of this false 9 bullshit.
  5. Why are people calling Big Zeke a striker? Seriously am I missing something? He's a quality player but he's a left winger and we already have a pretty good one of them. He's a very similar kind of player to Schurrle - uses his pace well and likes to go at and around players, and then likes to cut inside and shoot. A decent goalscorer too. A great player but unfortunately not one that we need, we already have Willian and Schurrle in that role.
  6. Cahill would be there or there abouts but I think a long term solution is probably better. Either one of Azpi, Matic, Zouma or Courtois should probably be made VC for this year, then captain next year. With Cahill as an experienced VC from next year to help them out.
  7. I think I heard them say he had 41 touches of the ball in both games though. That's not exactly ideal.
  8. Falcao has ruptured his cruciate. Loads of players (Shearer, Gazza, Owen, Torres) have had serious knee injuries and never been as good as they were. He would be a MASSIVE risk. Bigger than all the other strikers combined.
  9. You asked how many games TOPTB has watched this season with Costa in and said you'd watched 5 and he was shit in all 5, suggesting he'd been shit this season. I'm not going to rise to your pathetic insults and childish swearing either, so you might as well stop before you get a ban.
  10. 35 goals in 43 starts this season. But yeah, he's obviously been shit this season from your 5 game sample size.
  11. So in your opinion everyone but Man Utd have underachieved in the PL era then? Because Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal have spent a fair bit and haven't won anywhere near as much. Since our cash injection in 2004 we have won 3 titles, Man United have won 5 and Man City have won 2. I'm happy with a title every 3 years tbh. Also, we haven't focused only on the PL in the last 10 years, we have won 10 other trophies. So we've been competing on many fronts every year. Also, as much as you want that moral high ground over the league strength debate, i'm afraid it's just a fact. None of the other top league in Europe offer the competitiveness of the Premier League. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd, Man City and even Everton are all better than the 3rd/4th best teams in most other divisions. How many of those would Schalke, Monaco, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Marsielle, Inter, Sporting Lisbon, Napoli, Valencia, Sevilla or AC Milan beat? It isn't belitting other leagues to say they're not as competitive, it's just stating the fact that they aren't. It's not fault of the clubs in most cases, but the organisations running the leagues. For instance that horrific stat that 80-90% of the TV money for La Liga goes straight to the 2 big clubs, how are any other clubs meant to do anything? Just shows how good Atletico's achievement was this year.
  12. I don't really want to turn this into a thread of cat pictures but....
  13. Calm Jason! Look at the kitty:
  14. 1) Top 3 Chelsea players ever? 2) What is club football like in Jamaica? 3) I can only imagine what it was like for you and your family at the 2012 Olympics when Bolt & Blake won Gold & Silver in the 100m and the 200m and Weir won the 200m bronze. Can you even begin to describe how amazing that was to watch? 4) Favourite European team outside Chelsea? 5) Favourite player in the PL who doesn't play for Chelsea.
  15. Whether he's competing with Cech or replacing him, frankly I don't care. I just want him here. Top top top top goalkeeper and still so young!! Very happy with this news.
  16. Diego Costa: 2011/2012: 16 games, involved (scored or direct assist) in 14 goals. 2012/2013: 36 games, involved in 20 goals. 2013/2014: 44 games, involved in 39 goals. Please shut up about him being a 1 season wonder. It's just not true. AND he was playing on the wing thanks to Falcao up until this season.
  17. 1) Do you like being in the hotseat? Enjoyed it so far? 2) If you could live anywhere in the world (city or country) where would it be? 3) Favourite Chelsea player ever? 4) What would you give to get Ramires and Torres out of this club? 5) Favourite World Cup memory?
  18. Most of Man Utd: Welbeck, Smalling, Rooney, Januzaj, RVP, Nani, Kagawa, Ferdinand & Rafael. Especially Welbeck and Rooney.
  19. MVG, McEachren, Chalobah, Romeu, Swift, Baker & RLC. So I guess that's only 10....
  20. Have faith!! Although tbh it's likely we'll at least announce Costa today, then maybe leave the others til after the WC. But as long as the deals are done and noone can come in and gazump us.
  21. Every time I come onto TC and see 80-90 people viewing this thread it feels me with hope that there might have been a big announcement. Alas I'm often becoming disappointed .
  22. Playing the racism card as a final desperate attempt to cling on to power. Hoping that it means the media and lawyers will back off and not investigate closely because we all know if they do they will find a web of lies, bribery and corruption which has been laced throughout FIFA in recent memory. Pathetic really (and devaluing true racism which is of course horrific) but i've come to expect no better from that detestable human being.
