Do this while running at full pace and see if you can just shrug it off >.<

I'm hoping this is the calm before the storm. Have seen nothing linking him away recently so hopefully we can sneak in under the radar and nab him after Klopp goes.

Milner + One of: Koke/Pogba/Reus/Bale/Isco/Griezmann/Sterling + English backup GK: Butland/Ruddy/etc. + Promote some of our youngsters into the first team: RLC, Ake over Mikel, Bamford over Drogba etc. = A happy fan. I'm not asking for much, just the bare essentials .

Bold call. Not saying whether I agree or disagree, just saying, Bold Call .

Your points about Sterling (other than the dribbling thing, IMO he's a pretty good dribbler) are pretty much right but I wasn't talking about his ability. I was talking about who is and isn't proven. You can not buy into the whole "PL proven" if you like mate, it's your prerogative, but in most people's opinions the PL is the hardest league in the world to adapt to and there have been countless examples of players who struggle in the league even when they looked like a world beater elsewhere. Reus fair enough is proven in Europe, yes, that's one of the reasons why he gets the nod from me, but Griezmann seriously is not proven in Europe. Let's not forget that less than 12 months ago he had only been at Real Sociedad who have spent most of their last 7 years in the 2nd tier or languishing in the lower reaches of La Liga. I would hardly say 1 decent season at Atletico makes you European proven after that, no matter how good he looked at Sociedad (big fish small pond etc.). Don't take that as a slight btw. I really highly rate Griezmann and if we chose to sign him i'd be ecstatic. And as a side note I agree, in an ideal world a goal scoring CM or a goal scoring RW is what we need (hence Reus) but I don't think it should be overlooked that Sterling is young, PL proven, very good if a little inconsistent and English when we consider who we should be after.
-
Unless i'm mistaken I thought Traore was on trial with us when he played for us in preseason against that Singha All Stars team? His transfer was an odd one though, no idea what went on tbh.
-
While I would also prefer Reus (price permitting) it's a little bit silly to say that signing Sterling who is PL proven if slightly inconsistent would be a risk but signing Griezmann or Reus wouldn't be. They're both unproven in the PL and although they both look fantastic in their respective league so did Cuadrado. Add on to that Reus' problems with constant injuries (NOT injury prone, just fouled badly a lot but it's still a worry) and lets not forget that Griezmann has only had 1 year at a top club. If anything I would say that Sterling is less of a risk, because he is proven in the PL and has his roots in West London so there's no chance of settling issues. Having said all that even if they were all available for £30M i'd prefer Reus, purely because I genuinely think that under Mourinho he can be as important a player for us as Hazard and one of the best in the world, if not him then Sterling, then Griezmann. Obviously the price is important though, Dortmund, Liverpool or Atletico could hike the price for little to no reason if they felt like it.

So after seeing the teams in the last 4 I said I wanted a Barca vs Juve final with Juve winning. 2/3rds of the way there! Come on Juve!
-
Ideally I would like to see this. But I would be equally happy with Clyne as RB and Azpi as LB if Luis is off back to Atletico.

Seeing as other awards are being awarded around now (Hazard deservedly swiping the vast majority) was wondering when this was going to start again? And also offer my services if you need any help . -

Providing the price is right I would be happy to see him join. A little bit worried about the fact that he's seemed a bit lazy at times (both on the pitch and also needing holidays in the middle of the season), his finishing issues and his questionable off field antics but willing to put faith in the fact that Mourinho would be able to bring the best out in him and suppress the unlikable qualities about him. He obviously has talent, is English and should be a reasonable price considering he's out of contract in just over 12 months. So if Mou deems him good enough to sign, then I am happy to put lots of faith in the kid.
-
Lol standard TC. I guess we should ditch him because he didn't make 112/112 successful forward passes, make 4 assists and score a hattrick. How useless eh? You lot slating him should hang your heads in shame. There is absolutely no need for such criticism after his first start, especially such a solid one. Also, Rom, Messi's passing accuracy in his first league start (vs Osasuna 22/10/2005) was below 70% and he missed a sitter with an unmarked header from 6 yards. He made a few decent dribbles (with zero end product) but that was it. It was if anything worse than RLC's debut. But then you likely won't accept that due to the animus of whatever agenda you have against him.

For me: -------------------Cech-------------------- -Azpi----Terry----Christensen----Ake- ------------Matic--------RLC------------- -Cuadrado-----Fabregas-----Willian- -------------------Remy------------------- Subs: Beeney, Ivan, Luis, Mikel, Hazard, Brown, Drogba.
-
Let's hope he gets on the weights during pre-season as it currently looks like a medium strength gust of wind will knock him off the ball. Not ready to write him off yet (he has until January for me) but by god he needs to show something positive for the last 2 games and pre-season or he just flat won't get picked.
-
Ivanovic giving away a stupid foul and Mikel falling asleep to lose his man. They are both complete liabilities and I really hope Mou can see that. They should both be sold in the summer, to anyone who can take them off us. This isn't a knee jerk, Ivan has been a liability at the back for the last 2 seasons and Mikel has always had a catastrophic mistake just around the corner.
-
Well he plays better next to a quicker FB like Azpi. I'll leave that to Mou though .
-
Something like: -----------------Cech---------------------- --Azpi-----Terry-----Zouma-----Luis-- ------------Matic-------RLC-------------- -Willian-------Fabregas-------Hazard- ------------------Drogba------------------ by the sounds of it then.
-
Indeed. Watching people get proved wrong when they're so mouthy and cocky is very satisfying.

Goal: Costa vs Arsenal. - Great lob and what. a. pass. Moment: The day we signed Fabregas, that was a fantastic day. Everyone doubted it'd happen, but it did. After that, I knew the title was ours.
