That's one hell of a bold call. It's all up for debate and I must admit I don't watch La Liga as much as other European Leagues as the diving and cheating gets on my nerves so i'd be willing to accept it. Maybe I do underrate him, but he would have to be a bloody good CB to be better than those 2 you mentioned. If we do sign him and he is then good on our scouts and you!!
-
Agree with Varane because he's world class. Would love us to buy him. Laporte is a great prospect for the future but we already have Zouma who is of a similar level. He would also be a great signing but probably better to wait untilJT has gone first, otherwise one of him and Zouma aren't getting game time. Otamendi is good. But he is neither young nor world class. I'm not convinced he's any better than Cahill tbh. So why him? If we're going for the finished article CB, Hummels, one of the 3 Juve CBs or Godin would be much better shouts IMO.
-
Where's all the love for Otamendi come from? Decent player from what i've seen but surely worth around £20M and no more than £25M? Also, JT has just had his best season yet and Zouma is one of the best young CBs in the world. Unless we're buying to replace Cahill because he's off or buying world class why would we need another CB until when JT's legs finally fail him?

Mikel cannot get out of this club quick enough.

Last games for the club for Mikel, Drogba and Cech methinks. Hopefully give them a nice send off with a decent win and a lifting of the trophy. Come on you blues!!!

As Arnie would say... He'll be back. He just doesn't want to retire while he still thinks he can do it. I respect that. He'll be back at Chelsea next year for a coaching role. And we at Chelsea will welcome back our new king with open arms . See you soon Didier.

Quality footballer but I would assume the reasons would be: because he'd be more expensive (Monaco paid around £20M or so for him I think and have no reason to sell so would demand a higher price), he's probably not happy to sit on the bench for large portions of the time and his wages would be astronomical. He signed for Monaco in their boom period remember and therefore is likely on more than 100k per week.

Common sense from the FA?!?!

One of Zlatan's biggest fans but really REALLY don't want him here. Costa is our undisputed first choice and Zlatan would not be happy about sitting on the bench. He's not exactly the kind of player that would let it go without making a huge fuss aswell. Same goes for Yaya, except he'd get into our team and block RLC's progression & if we're going to do that let's do it for a world class player rather than one that used to be world class. Our biggest targets should be a HG GK (Schmeichel/Butland/Marshall/Ruddy whoever) to replace Cech as 2nd choice, Milner on a free and one big signing for either our RW, CAM or CM (& change to a 4-3-3) positions. After that a world class CB and a backup DM would be nice, but not essential. There's no need to go over the top with signing luxury players, even if the FFP rules get relaxed. I would be much happier if the club continued along the vein of the last 4 years - sign young, hungry and relatively cheap, sell high if they don't develop or fit as much as we wanted.

Hopefully Sunderland get a point at the Gooners so this will be a nothing match for them. -----------------------Cech----------------------- --Ivan-----Terry------Christensen-----Luis-- ----------------Matic-------RLC----------------- -Cuadrado-----------Oscar------------Brown- ----------------------Remy----------------------- Subs: Beeney, Azpi, Kalas, Ake, Mikel, Willian, Solanke.

Luis did not do his chances of staying at the club any favours with that performance.

We've won the league.

I think this is the perfect place for one of my favourite football jokes. Can't remember when I first heard it, maybe Jim Davidson. A man is at a car boot sale and buys a box of odds and ends. When he gets home at the bottom of a box is a golden lamp. He takes it out and sees it has a smudge on the side so he goes to polish it off and POOF! out pops a genie from the end of it. The man lets out a yell of surprise before regaining his composure. "You're a genie!?" he said. "That I am" replied the Genie, "And I am here to grant you a wish.". "Just the one wish?" The man enquires questioningly. "Yes just one" replied the annoyed Genie, "How many were you expecting? 3? What a ridiculous idea." "Alright alright...." Says the bemused man, before saying "Ok then, if I only have 1 wish then it is to be immortal, and to never die.". "Not going to happen" says the Genie, "It doesn't work like that.". "Fine." replies the man, "I want to die when West Bromich Albion win the league then.". "You crafty prick!" replies the Genie.

RLC has been our best player today, looks so calm and collected while some around him lose their heads *cough* Fabregas *cough*. Aha we've been so ridiculously unlucky today. Deserve to be winning, not even level. Lucky it doesn't fucking matter because WE'VE WON THE LEAGUE eh? xD
-
MOTM is our wonderful fans. Reminding everyone who might be forgetting WE'VE WON THE LEAGUE. This matters not a jot. This sucks right now my fellow blues but come Saturday when we're lifting the trophy I can guarantee no-one will remember or care about this game.
-
What's the odds on a Cuadrado hattrick? You heard it here first!!! xD
-
When it rains it pours. Incredibly bad luck. Thank god it means fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

Well what a shit first half. We actually haven't played badly and deserve to be ahead and would be if not for a few pieces of luck, some good goalkeeping and Berahino pulling out a worldie. Ref has had a stinker, completely lost control and shouldn't have booked Costa for a minor scuffle, especially if he wasn't going to book McAuley, the instigator of said scuffle. Really think Cesc did that on purpose. Even if he didn't though it was a really stupid thing to do. Not sure it should be a red as i've seen people kick the ball at others and get booked previously but whatever, I guess Cesc deserves it for being stupid. Fletcher should have been booked and Olsson could well have gone for his general shitty attitude too as well as numerous fouls. Ake, Christensen and Brown might as well go and change back into their normal clothes, no chance they're getting a game now. That's the most frustrating thing about all this. We'll likely scrape a goal and then bring Mikel on for RLC and Cuadrado & Azpi will come on late for Costa and Luis and we'll play out a dull 1-1. Cesc has pissed away some good will he's built up throughout the season today.
-
Depends. A red is a 1 game ban, increased by 1 for each red you've received previously that season and increased by at least 2 if it is for violent conduct. So it depends if they construe what Cesc did as violent (I personally don't think so but this the FA so who knows?).
-
Costa, Olsson and Fletcher should've been booked and Cesc was rightly sent off. Ref lost control completely, and Cesc is a tool.
-
God knows why Costa was booked there but not the WBA player. The fight was 6 of 1 half a dozen of another. Cesc deserved to be sent off, that was stupid. But the WBA that ran into him on purpose should've been booked too. Ref bottled it in front of the home crowd and only gave Chelsea the cards. Standard.
-
Was that really intentional?
-
Lol Diego ffs. Always starting fights.
