Very recently i found out in an article someone posted that clubs already are spending more % of money at defence. Unfortunately i can't remember where i saw it to repost it. My point is that defence is definitely not easier than attack. It's apples vs oranges as you say. Strikers are usually the stars and that's why they get paid more wages.
