Tottenham spend millions... Arsenal don't spend a penny... Arsenal beat Tottenham 1-0... Can someone please explain what sort of season this is so far!? Also, why is everyone winning 1-0! I can't stand to see Arsenal winning, but it is hilarious to see Tottenham losing after seeing them spend all their money! I bet they're kicking themselves now after letting Bale go!

One of the cruelest football matches I have ever watched as a Chelsea fan! I know this was supposedly a "glorified European friendly" but if you look at the performance from our players today, clearly it was anything but... Too bad we got dicked over by a Busquets wannabe (Martinez).. and we ended up losing on penalties on the last pen, due to the fact that Lukaku felt he had the world on his shoulders! So many people on twitter have started hating on him and saying "RIP to his career" ... it's sickening to see it! It takes courage to take a penalty like the one he took! ... Plastic supporters slate him and hate him ... real supporters back him, and the rest of the team for their stout display! I'm proud of the whole team! We did NOT deserve to lose that game! .. but football can be a cruel like that!

Still scratching my head over Eto'o .. We could have gone for someone better but no good fighting tooth and nail over it when the deadline is getting close now. Best do the deal now rather than doing an Arsenal and leaving everything to the last minute. I'm absolutely sure Mourinho knows what he's doing!

Ever heard the story about the boy who cried wolf. Rooney cries "transfer"... we spend a summer chasing him and he ends up wanting to stay. Following summer, he does exactly the same thing.. ..next time he tries to desperately leave United, I seriously don't want us to chase him! Shrek is messed up in the head!

I'm so sick of the media branding the whole "Mata being dropped" as exit speculation. FFS he's not 100% fit and that's why he hasn't been playing! (And Luiz) Anyone who says that the transfer market should be shut before the opening game of the season is absolutely right. All the media do is write a lot of nonsense to unsettle the players in question, and it's annoying! Soon as one player misses three games, suddenly there's speculation on whether he will leave! ... and the Willian transfer news certainly doesn't help matters, (pardon the pun). After all of this, I hope Mata stays and announces his long term commitment, saying that he is willing to fight for a place in the side. Seriously, if I were Mata, I would stay and work insanely hard among a group of players all trying to get into Jose's team. It will make him even more of a better player, and he'll be guaranteed to win more things under Mourinho. If he goes to Arse or Sp*rs, then I will lose all my respect for him! Good luck trying to win things with a team who's never won a trophy in 8 years!

What an absolute twat Rooney is, he could have saved so much aggro by announcing he wanted to leave at the end of last season.. suddenly, he changes his mind right at the end of the transfer window.. ..we could have signed him even before pre-season.. ..guess I'll have to continue calling him Shrek! I bet we'll end up getting Eto'o now, just to rub more salt into the wounds. Nah sod that.. get Jackson Martinez or Karim Benzema!

Mata is not 100% fit at the moment.. you can probably say the same about David Luiz as well.. both picked up injuries during pre-season, so it would be silly to start them both while fitness for them is not at their best.

Better still, how about Benitez being appointed as Chief Executive, and he offers Torres a new 5-year-deal "behind Mourinho's back!" I'd rather see all that happen than see us sign Rooney...... at the expense of Juan Mata! Moral: don't sell our back to back player of the season.. end of!

My guess is that he will probably stay. The way he played against us was sensational, particularly when under the cosh of all the speculation.. otherwise he wouldn't have gotten back to tackle Ramires all the way from deep and immediately start a United attack.. ..if he would have deliberately scored an own goal.. there would have been cause for concern! it's all up to Rooney though!

And yet he would have probably been the better player to start the game.. right?

Am I the only one to think that Torres actually played well when he came on?? There were times during his tenure on the pitch where he did a lot of closing down on United's defenders, forcing throw-ins and free kicks. Yeah he was average, but he wasn't terrible! Just because you don't score to change a game doesn't mean you played poorly. *waits for all the counter posts*

It will most probably be Moses, Ba and Mikel that leave before the window closes. Maybe Essien could get shown the door. Moses is probably the player worth keeping just because of the homegrown rule, but neither of the players mentioned above are needed... Mikel is slow and clumsy on the ball in tight situations and Ba just feels lazy up front.
