We don't even do it at home, so not surprised.

I am so filled with excitement over this game! ...

Not sure if you can compare Greizmann to Castro.. I see what you mean in terms of the fact that a player giving up CL football for a lesser team is possible, but Griezmann is leaps and bounds ahead of Castro. United at least had Europa League football guaranteed when they signed those players.. we're going into next season with not even that..

Someone please explain to me this... Why would a player like Antoine Griezmann, playing for a club that has entered the Champions League final, (whether they win or lose in Milan), would want to join a club that offers absolutely no European Football, let alone the Champions League? Don't get me wrong.. I'd love to see Griezmann in a Chelsea shirt, but we have as much chance of getting Griezmann as I have of being able to find a diamond mine outside my house! Some of us need to be realistic about potential transfers like these. We just had a season that has severely damaged the club's image in more ways than one. No Europe.. no top quality.. I'd be very surprised if we were to get a marquee signing this summer. It's probably going to be about getting balanced players that will help with the complete overhaul of our squad... mix that in with the youth players that everyone begs and pleads to see start, and they hardly ever do.. and people wonder why our youth academy is so unsuccessful! The best activity we could possibly hope for this summer, is if we're able to keep the likes of Hazard, Willian, Costa, and maybe even Fabregas at the club, and we can build the team around them. If it means we get no top quality players then so be it! I hope I am proved wrong of course...

I watched this from ChelseaFansChannel.. If this is indeed, true I want the entire board sacked after this disgusting treatment! John Terry is not a piece of meat.. he is a symbol to Chelsea Football Club.. one who is forever cemented in our history and success! If it were me in that Chelsea board, and I cared about the club (which I obviously do), I'd be doing my best to appeal to the FA to at least reduce his ban to one game instead of two, so that his final game is at Stamford Bridge, and that the fans can watch him play at home one final time! We will never get another man like him.. I fucking hate this! It's virtually coming from the Sun (very reliable they are aren't they?) .. some piece of news worth addressing!

Following these last few months, I feel this club has been damaged so severely, that if you take into account the inspiration given by Leicester's title success, it's going to take presumably a lot more than a season to re-build our side to attain future positive fortunes. Some of you may have an opposite opinion, but 6th place is a possible improvement on next season, then after that possibly a top four finish. If we can squeeze in a cheeky Carling Cup/FA Cup win somewhere in between, I'd call that improvement, but we'd still have a long way to go! This group (bar a couple), is simply stale, fruitless, and uninspiring to watch! I'm in two minds on whether to even get myself to watch the Liverpool game in mid-week because I know what's coming! But as loyal supporters.. you live with the club, and die with the club. Sounds like a contradiction, but it's the truth!

For next season... I only have two words for Antonio Conte... "No pressure!"
-
Terry got sent off at Barcelona in 2012, and turned out to be a memorable game for us! At least the defeat wasn't a rout! Gerrard's send-off clearly worse!
-
Agree, but players like those needed some more game time.. like you say, we had nothing to play for.. so why didn't we? Why has Hiddink consistently played the deadwood that is the main cause for a majority of our defeats in games like these, where the youth can easily exert themselves? We have RLC, Colkett, Abraham, JCS, Aina, Bamford plus so many others that should be given a lot of chances while we continue to be in a phase that isn't bidding for silverware.. I just don't get why none of them are getting a chance!
-
If Leicester winning the league doesn't show that I don't know what does. Every other club will be inspired to be like them next season, making the Premier League a lot harder..
-
If we win fuck all, but finish in the top 4, it'd be a gazillion times better than this season-long horror flick!
-
I seriously just want to punch this face right now!
-
What's the point in even constructing a post when pretty much everyone here already knows what I think... ...can't be fucking arsed! Y'know what.. I just found a dead pigeon outside my log cabin! Even that has more quality than our entire first team! Fucking pathetic! Liverpool will murder us in mid-week, while the Leicester side, even after a hangover, will get three easy points at the Bridge!

You might want to add Hazard to the list of players who need to stay. I'd like to see Conte getting the best out of him again next season, and I reckon he can... But completely agree, there's so much deadwood in our side that need to be turfed out over the summer! Ivanovic and Oscar clearly top of that list!

SIX.. amazing things about tonight: 1. Eden Hazard is back to his best again! I simply cannot stop seeing his goal on Twitter! It's simply a thing of beauty. 2. Tottenham are sore losers! (Not the game, but the title).. it showed today because I can literally count the number of players with both hands, who acted like a complete twat both during and after the game: Kyle Walker right off the bat, for stomping on Pedro, and then five minutes later, hacking him down.. only got a booking! Moussa Dembele clearly tried to scratch Diego Costa's face at Full Time! Danny Rose pushed Guus Hiddink and took a tumble over the dugout seats! Ryan Mason hacked down Hazard more than three times during the last 15 minutes of the game... only got a booking! 3. Willian hates Tottenham... clearly... showing the Champions Sash to the Spurs supporters! What class!! 4. The fact that we have now stopped Liverpool and Tottenham.. two of my most hated clubs the chance to win a league trophy is beyond impeccable! 5. Even during our worst season in 30 years, Arsenal and Tottenham have failed to beat us home AND away! 6. We helped a former manager, Claudio Ranieri win the league title with Leicester City. Let's not forget Robert Huth and Mark Schwarzer.. both former blues! Very slow start to the game, being 0-2 behind at half time.. but loved how we made a comeback! I can now forget any bad thing that's happened this season.. if it's meant that we have stopped Tottenham from winning the Premier League! Over to you, Antonio Conte!
-
We did it to Liverpool... we can do it to Tottenham! Don't let me down Chels!
-
I'm not going to say Harry Kane is better than Diego Costa.. but what I will say, is that Kane is an incredible goalscorer and he's done exceptionally well for the Spuds. Costa has had a mediocre season, just like every other Chelsea player.. because no-one has done their job properly. If the midfield suffers, the strikers suffer just as much. Let's see how well Kane does at the Euros, and then I'll come up with a better analogy.

A 3-5-2 formation sounds like a fair bet to me. Conte excelled with this formation with Juventus. What's so good about this, is that not only can RLC play in the middle of this setup, but if ever things have to be changed around, he can be moved to a much deeper role. Mikel may be good in that position already, but he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to consistency. Mikel can alter between good and bad games. We need someone whom we know can be developed into someone like Paul Pogba..

Is it August yet??
-
This is what has been happening all game: They let us attack them, they keep shutting us out.. soon as they get on the break, they pummel it down the pitch and score easily, because of our absolutely clueless defense! Typical away side tactics!
-
Same old shit!

Great saves from Courtois, but you could see the goal from Aguero coming.
